RIM Finally Officially Announces the BlackBerry Curve 8520, Hitting Vodafone For Free

Labels: , ,

Finally! RIM has just officially announced the BlackBerry Curve 8520. You can check it out on Blackberry's official website if you like. The Curve 8520 will be hitting Vodafone UK for free, as long as you sign a contract that makes you pay at least £25 ($41 USD) a month. It will also be hitting T-Mobile and Wal-Mart on August 5th, but the prices are still unknown. It should be available everywhere sometime in [probably early] August. For Mac OS X users, the Curve 8520 will come with "out of the box" Mac support, so Boy Genius points out that we could see a Mac version of Desktop Manager in the near future.

Apple To Launch Tablet and Refreshed iPods This September

Labels: , , , , , , ,

According to Financial Times, the latest rumour is that Apple will be launching its tablet with their refreshed iPods as early as this September. This tablet will, of course, have WiFi and it's codenamed "Cocktail". This tablet will be sporting a 10-inch [probably capacitive multi-touchscreen] display and it will run on the iPhone OS. What makes this even more interesting is that it will "also have a book marketplace" so you can say goodbye to the Kindle by the end of the year - if the rumour is true. Remember, it's just a rumour, so don't cry if the Apple tablet doesn't come out in under two months.
