Cricket Teases Huawei Ascend 2 and the Samsung Indulge At CTIA

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Cricket has just unveiled two phones at CTIA today and they're, of course, both running Google's Android OS. Both of the handsets are CDMA and on the left side you have the Huawei Ascend, which is already available, and on the right it's the upcoming Huawei Ascend 2 which is going to hit the carrier in the future. The display is, unfortunately, still HVGA and it's got an improved 5MP camera on the back. This one will be available for $150 contract-free so that's pretty great.

The other handset that they teased to us is the Samsung Indulge (below) which we've been seeing for a long time. This is the same Samsung Android QWERTY-packing handset that's on MetroPCS but this one's only sporting CDMA connectivity - no LTE (4G). This one's also packing an HVGA display and it's going to launch for $350 contract-free.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is expected to launch in "early Summer" for $469 (16GB) and $569 (32GB), while the larger 10.1-inch model is going to be available on June 8th for $499 (16GB) and $599 (32GB) - right on pace with the iPad 2.
