Google Releases a Video About Their Latest Dessert, "Eclair" aka Android 2.0!
Google has just released their latest Android video which shows off some Android 2.0 "Eclair" love, so now it's officially official. There's not much for me to say, but the video is above. And some changes are below, courtesy of Slash Gear.
Key changes for the new version of the OS include multiple Google and Exchange account support, two-way contacts sync, the ability to pull in contacts from multiple accounts, the ability to switch methods of communication and accounts within threaded conversations, and a unified email inbox. There’s also new camera functionality, including macro focus and integrated flash support.
There’s also a new Bluetooth 2.1 API, which Google demo with a game of Android Pong played wirelessly between two different smartphones. However it will also support OPP and PBAP profiles. HTML5 support has been added to the browser, together with double-tap zoom, and there’s improved graphics hardware acceleration. Of course thanks to Android 1.6 the platform has support for different display sizes, and with the newest APIs software can easily scale to suit smaller displays such as that found on the HTC Tattoo or larger ones.

First Picture of the Samsung S5560 Spotted Online
All that we know about this handset is that it was tested at the WiFi Alliance last month. It's not official right now, but this is the first picture we have of the Samsung S5560. It looks like the Verizon Samsung Omnia II to me, but it's smaller - kind of like the Samsung Jet.
This handset packs: a 3-inch resistive WQVGA touchscreen display, a 5MP camera with an LED flash, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, this handset does not have 3G connectivity. This handset will supposedly launch in November for around 300 Euros ($445 USD)
