Newegg Releases Two AMD Models Of the MSI Wind U230 Notebook

Two models of the MSI Wind U230 notebook are now available thanks to Newegg. They both feature a 12-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 6-cell battery, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI / three USB 2.0 ports, and Windows 7 Hom Premium. The differences is that the Wind U230-033 model features an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU along with a 250GB HDD, while the Wind U230-040 model features a faster AMD Athlon X2 L335 CPU along with a larger 320GB HDD. Sony Unveils Their Price and Release Dates For Their Own 3D-Capable HDTVs For Japan

In Japan, Sony is looking to splash a bit of 3D love. Of course, after burning a hole through your wallet you're going to need all the love you can get. Their LX900 series varies in sizes from 40, 46, 51, and 60-inches and will range in price from ¥290,000 ($3,222 USD) and ¥580,000 ($6,444 USD). On the HX900 and HX800 models you'll have to get the glasses and the TMR-BR100 IR emitter separately which will cost you an extra ¥5,000 ($55 USD), so that definitely sucks. You don't have to get them though and you'll see get beautiful 2D Full HD quality with these WiFi-connected TVs. A bunch of them are expected to drop later this month, but most of them are expected to launch in June and July of this year.

Samsung Leaks Out Their Upcoming 3D HDTV Price Tags

Samsung's whole pricing details for their upcoming 3DTV's have just been pushed out. Later this month they'll be pushing out 7 of them which range in price from $1,699.99 all the way up to $3,299.99. Next month they're going to push out 4 more 3DTV's that will range from $2,799.99 all the way up to a whopping $6,999.99. In May and July you'll get your shot at a couple more HDTVs which range from $1,199.99 and $4,999.99. Some of these TVs aren't 3D-capable so make sure to choose the right ones.

Rogers Launching the LG (KM555) Shine Touch For $49.99 Soon

We just heard that Telus is planning to launch the LG KM555 Shine Touch, but Rogers has just confirmed that they'll be launching it as well. It'll be available from them for $49.99 on a 3-year contract, $99.99 on a 2-year contract, $199.99 on a 1-year contract, and $249.99 contract-free. This handset won't pack a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which is a let down, but it still packs a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, Bluetooth / WiFi support, a microSD card slot, and an FM radio. It'll be launching very soon.

Shuttle XS35 Nettop Shows Off the Power Of Ion 2 On Video

Shuttle is hyping up their XS35 nettop launch by demoing what it can do on video. It's running an underwhelming Atom D510 CPU but it's paired up with Nvidia Ion 2 graphics so it still manages to smoothly play 1080p content - whether that's Blu-ray or Flash. Engadget points out that this nettop would be perfect to use as an HTPC so check out the video below.

It looks like both Rogers and Telus will be launching the LG KM555 since the site now tells us that Telus will be the carrier. This LG Shine Touch (KM555) packs a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera, WiFi, an FM radio, and a microSD card slot. Check it out on LG here.

Vodafone 845 To Run Android 2.1 and Cost Just €150 This May

Vodafone looks like they could be planning to launch a cheap Android handset in the future. The Vodafone 845 will be launching for around €150 ($204 USD). That's pretty cheap consider its spec sheet. It's packing a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, 512MB of internal memory, WiFi / aGPS support, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1,200mAh battery, Android 2.1, and even Vodafone's own 360 service. The name isn't official yet and the phone itself is made by Huawei. It could be launched this May as the Joy so just look out for it.

Samsung E6 E-Book Reader Hitting Barnes & Noble This Spring For $299

What you see above is the Samsung E6 which is an e-book reader with a monochrome 6-inch display. The bottom part gets unveiled with a quick slide and the display could be perfect for just reading books. We're hearing that this e-book reader will be available in Spring for $299.99. They'll be sold alongside the Nook in Barnes & Noble stores across the nation.

Freescale Looking To Launch 7-Inch Tablet For $200, Runs Android, Chromium OS, Or Linux

Freescale looks like they're going to try to push their latest tablet to the market. What you see above is a 7-inch tablet that is capable of running Android, Chromium OS, and Linux. It'll start at $200 and will feature an ARM-based CPU and hopefully a capacitive touchscreen display. There's still no word on when and if it will hit the market, but you can always enjoy the video below.



Intel Launching 8-Core Nehalem-Ex CPUs Later This Month

There are a bunch of new products launching this month. Intel is launching their 8-core Nehalem-Ex CPUs later this month. These processors will be a part of their current Xeon CPUs and they have 24MB of shared cache with Turbo Boost "and the pretty awesome ability to scale up to eight sockets -- meaning you could have 64 processing cores in the same rig." That's definitely overkill for just about anything you throw at it.

Rogers Releases the Samsung Galaxy (I5700) Spica For $79.99

Canada's Rogers has just released another Android handset and it's one that we knew was coming for a couple of days now. I'm talking about the Samsung Galaxy Spica and it's now available for $79.99 on a 3-year contract. With that contract, Rogers is offering a promo $45 price for a Voice and Data plan. Other prices include $299.99 on a 3-year contract (without the promo), $349.99 on a 2-year contract, $399.99 on 1-year contract, and $449.99 contract-free.

This handset is running Android 1.5 and packs a 3.2MP camera, GPS / Wifi support, a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a microSD card slot, a 2GB card in the box, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an 800MHz CPU. This handset should be getting upgraded to Android 2.1 in Q2 of this year. Check it out on Rogers here.

HP Mini 5102 Netbook Gets Atom N470, Broadcom HD Card, and Matte Multitouch Display Options

Finally! The HP Mini 5102 netbook is now available with the Intel Atom N470 1.83GHz CPU upgrade. This is one of the first netbooks to sport the faster "Pine Trail" Atom CPU and it's only a $25 upgrade. That's not all HP decided to add to the netbook though. There are also options for a 1,366 x 768 matte multitouch display, SSD options, and a Broadcom HD card. All of those are great additions to this netbook and you may want to consider adding them.

15.6-Inch Dell Precision M4500 Breaks Free, Brings Core i7 and Full HD Display With It

Dell has just launched their latest Precision notebook and it's looking very impressive right now. What you see above is the Dell Precision M4500 notebook and it's packing a 15.6-inch display with a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, Intel Core i5 / i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Edition CPU options, Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M / 880M graphics, a 3MP webcam, a backlit keyboard, a multitouch trackpad, a Gobi 2.0 wireless chipset, and a 9-cell battery that'll supposedly last 7 hours and 40 minutes. There's a 12-cell battery if that's not enough for you though. Of course, there's an optical drive on here and you can put a 64GB SSD card in there alongside a couple of different HDD options.

The body is 1.1-inches thick and the laptop itself weighs around 6 pounds. This notebook should be available in a couple of weeks and will start at $1,700.

MSI Unveils the Core i5-Packing X-Slim X360 Ultraportable Notebook

MSI teased this notebook at CES in January and now it's official. The X-Slim X360 is another ultraportable notebook from MSI and it's packing an Intel Core i5-520UM CPU inside of it. On the outside it's got a 13-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, HDMI / VGA / two USB 2.0 ports, an SD / MMC card slot, twin speakers, a 1.3MP webcam, and a 1-inch thin body. On the inside you'll find up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB / 320GB / 500GB HDD, integrated graphics, WiFi / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, and a 4 / 8-cell battery. Of course, they never announced the price or when they'll release it so you'll have to wait around for that information.

Dell Vostro Notebook Line-Up Gets Updated To Include Core i5 / i7 CPU Options

Dell has just updated their Vostro line-up of notebooks to pack some Intel Core i5 / i7 love. This starts with the 13-inch 3300 and goes up to the 17-inch 3700 (including 14-inch and 15-inch models). They'll all be available in silver, red, and bronze and will all have discrete graphics options. The 13-inch 3300 notebook starts at $699, which is a pretty good deal considering that it has an optical drive and a Core i5 CPU.

Intel Reportedly Working On Dual-Core N500 Atom CPU

There's no confirmation of this right now but the latest rumour states that Intel is working on a new dual-core Atom CPU. Supposedly dubbed the Intel Atom N500, it could appear later this year. We already know that Intel is cooking up N455 and N475 CPUs, but this is the first time we've heard of a dual-core Atom in their N-Series CPUs.

T-Mobile Holding HTC HD2 Event On March 16th, Coming Soon On the Website

T-Mobile USA looks like they're holding an event to "come experience the HTC HD2" on March 16th. Maybe this is when they'll finally reveal when the launch date for the handset will be. Earlier rumours pointed that date to be March 24th. Everyone's really confident in 24th being HD2 day, so it's only 2 weeks away.

Update: According to Unwired View, the HD2 is now listed as "Coming Soon" on the T-Mobile USA website.

Another Delay: Spring Design Alex E-Book Reader Pre-Orders To Start In Early Spring...

The first week of March has come and gone and the pre-orders for the Spring Design Alex still hasn't started. The date has been pushed back to early Spring, which is in a couple of weeks. Keep in mind that this date is only the pre-order date, Spring Design still hasn't mentioned the shipping date but it could be even later than when the iPad arrives.
