BlackBerry "Pluto" 99xx's Battery Cover Gets Spotted In Vodafone Germany's Systems?

Labels: , , , , ,

We definitely haven't heard about the BlackBerry 99xx (below) in a long time. Coming from the BlackBerry OS Forums is this leaked Vodafone Germany system screenshot (above). If you translate "Akkufachdeckel schwarz" that's actually "black berry cover". That's all well and good for now, but I know a few people who are still waiting for this one. Codenamed the Pluto, it's said that this smartphone from RIM will sport the Bold form-factor along with a touchscreen display. Hopefully RIM throw on a touchscreen onto this device as well.

T-Mobile USA will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab on November 10th for $399.99 on a 2-year contract and $599.99 contract-free. If you hate the iPad enough then the contract-free price could be right. You do get dual-cameras and Android so maybe that alone is worth it over the $500 16GB iPad.

Microsoft Stores Now Have the WP7-Based Dell Venue Pro Available

Labels: , , , , ,

The leak turned out to be true. The WP7-based Dell Venue Pro smartphone is now available through Microsoft for $199.99 on a 2-year T-Mobile USA contract. This is definitely the most interesting Windows Phone 7 handset and sets itself apart from the pack by having a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, and a portrait slide-up QWERTY keyboard. The problem with this one now being available is that it's probably sold out at this point. It's only available in stores so you won't find it online. This will be available online on November 15th.

The event will definitely be an unveil and a release for the phone so it's a perfect launch event. Future Shop Canada To Offer the BlackBerry Bold 9780 On Rogers For $179, Aka Too Expensive

Labels: , , , , ,

Rogers really likes to price their devices a bit more expensive than the other carriers. It looks like Future Shop's Rogers BlackBerry Bold 9780 will also be a bit more expensive. After finding out that Best Buy would be launching it for $149.99 on a 3-year contract, Future Shop may be pricing it at $179.99 on a 3-year contract. This is definitely way above what Telus is offering it for right now ($99.99) so try to avoid this deal if it's possible.
