Okay, so it didn't launch earlier this week but Telus has just confirmed that they're going to be launching the HTC Desire tomorrow (3.7-inch Super LCD and all). The official pricing hasn't been mentioned but we've been hearing that it'll be $79.99 on a 3-year contract and $449.99 contract-free. Nokia C7 Might Have Hit the FCC, But It Could Be Something Else

Labels: , , ,

Last week, a Hong Kong magazine got their hands on the Nokia C7 and Engadget has just got the hunch that it has hit the FCC (filing here). The Nokia RM-718 has just hit the FCC and it looks an awful lot like the C7. The handset sports quad-band EDGE connectivity, HSPA 850 / AWS / 1900 / 2100 connectivity, and Bluetooth / WiFi support. Engadget has updated their post and has mentioned that the headphone jack doesn't line up perfectly with the spy shots so either Nokia updated what the C7 or looked like or this may be another different handset. We'll have to wait and see.

Telus Releases the Entry-Level Motorola i890 Flip Phone For $179.99

Labels: , , ,

We heard about this happening back in May and it has just become a reality. The Motorola i890 flip phone is now available on Telus' MiKE network for $179.99 on a 3-year contract and for $329.99 contract-free. This is definitely overpriced considering that you can get so many other [and better] phones for cheaper than that. This handset packs a 2.2-inch internal display, a 1.8-inch external display, PTT capabilities, a 2MP camera, and Stereo Bluetooth support. Check it out on Telus here.

AT&T Getting the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and the Samsung Eternity II Soon

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

We already know that AT&T will be getting the BlackBerry Torch 9800 on August 12th but what else do they have up their sleeve. According to some rumours then AT&T could be planning to launch the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and the Samsung Eternity II before the middle of September. Sadly, the X10 may actually launch with the old school Android 1.6 OS and we know just about nothing regarding the Eternity II. It should be similar to the first model though. Prices aren't mentioned.

Sprint Opening Stores Early On August 11th, Launching the Samsung Epic 4G

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

One of Boy Genius' Sprint sources has just mentioned that the Samsung Epic 4G (their Galaxy S variant with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 4G / WiMAX connectivity) could actually launch on August 11th. Sprint stores will reportedly open their stores at 8AM to "meet demands" and is actually a well placed date. August 12th is when the DROID 2 will likely be hitting Verizon and it's also the day when AT&T is going to be launching the new BlackBerry Torch (9800). I'm going to assume that Sprint's Epic 4G will be sold out fairly quick and they'll run into some shortages.

Logitech Introduces and Releases the G700 Mouse, G510 Keyboard, and G930 Headset, Set For Gamers

Labels: , , , , , ,

Okay, so you just bought StarCraft II last week and you're having problems getting into Diamond. To get your APM up you may need something that Logitech has announced. The company has just announced the G700 gaming mouse, the G510 gaming keyboard, and the G930 wireless gaming headset which won't help you in any way. The G700 will feature 13 buttons with macro support, a dual-mode scroll wheel, and an optional plug-in USB cable so that can charge it and play at the same time.

Next up is the G510 keyboard which sports a small LCD display, 18 programmable keys with macro support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and will recognize five simultaneous keypresses. Last, but not least, is the G930 headset which features 7.1-channel surround sound and three programmable shortcut keys. These are all available right now for $99.99 (here), $119.99 (here), and $159.99 (here), respectively. Okay, so maybe these peripherals would be better if you still played WoW.

Update: Engadget has just reviewed the G700 mouse and the G930 headset. They didn't get their fingers on the keyboard so you'll have to look elsewhere for that.

Microsoft's Arc Touch Mouse Could Be Hitting the Market In September, MSRP To Be $70?

Labels: ,

The picture above was leaked a couple of days ago by Microsoft and no one (besides the company) knows what it is. Some people think that it could be a WinPho 7 handset and some people believe it could [somehow] be the Arc Touch Mouse that has been rumoured for a while. The new Arc Touch Mouse will be Microsoft's version of the Apple Magic Mouse. Well, according to what's swirling around Microsoft plans to release the Arc Touch Mouse sometime next month (September) and it will hold an MSRP of $69.95 (just under $70). Hopefully someone from Microsoft mentions exactly what the image above is because everyone's dying to find out - hopefully it's not something that will let us all down.

HP eStation Zeen Tablet Will Become the HP Slate?

Labels: , , , ,

The FCC (here) may have hinted at something big. Apparently, the HP eStation Zeen is going to be a tablet and it could be the HP Slate that a few people have been waiting for. Said tablet features WiFi b/g/n support and could be running Windows 7. Of course, if this was the WebOS-based Slate from HP it would be a lot more desirable. Just saying.

iPod Touch With a Camera Leaked Out By a Case Maker? Another Case Shot Shows Front-Facing Camera

Labels: , , ,

Thanks to a case maker, Apple's next iPod Touch could look similar to what you see above. Of course, we already know that the company plans to introduce a new iPod Touch in early September and we know that it should feature a camera on the back. Could the camera on the back of the iPod Touch be in the corner and not in the middle like those prototypes that we've seen a couple of times? We'll really just have to wait and see.

Update: Another 9 to 5 Mac post has leaked the pictures you see below. It clearly shows an Apple case that has a hole in the front for the front-facing camera. Interesting. This could be possible seeing how FaceTime only works over WiFi (unless your iPhone 4 is jailbroken).

Acer Aspire One D255 Netbook Almost Ready For You To Buy, Will Dual-Boot Android and Windows XP

Labels: , , , , , ,

Acer is just about to release their latest netbook, the Aspire One D255. This one sets itself apart from most netbooks out there by dual-booting the Android OS and Windows XP. Unlike the rumour we heard in early July, the Aspire One D255 netbook doesn't feature a dual-core Intel Atom N550 CPU. Instead, Acer has decided to stick with the industry standard Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU. Other specs include: 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB HDD, and a 3-cell battery (optional 6-cell). This netbook will cost you NT$11,900 (around $375 USD) when it hits the shelves.
