Microsoft Pink "Turtle" Shows Up In Blurry Photo, Headed To Verizon With "Better Than Android" OS

Labels: , ,

We just heard that the Microsoft Pink "Turtle" and the Pure made the rounds last night. Clearly (or unclearly that is) it's sporting a touchscreen display (supposedly 480 x 320 resolution) and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Of course, it'll have social integration and that includes Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!, Windows Live, and even Zune. This handset will be launching on Verizon as well. Apparently, the OS - based on Windows CE - is better than Android and if that's true then it will be off to a good start already.

Archos Phone Tablet May Never See the Light Of Day

Labels: , , , ,

Remember that Archos Phone Tablet? Well, when it was unveiled it seemed like a pretty damn good phone and it actually still does to this date. Unfortunately, it may never get launched. Archos' goal was to get two carriers to push it out but Archos may not have achieved this goal. Let's hope it finds its way to the market one way or another because the specs are still pretty juicy.

Bluetooth 4.0 Devices Said To Be Coming In Q4 Of This Year, What About 3.0?

Labels: ,

Nowadays Bluetooth 2.0 / 2.1 is standard in all devices and Bluetooth 3.0 is pretty rare to find these days. Apparently, Bluetooth 4.0 is ready and will actually hit some devices by Q4 of this year. This is pretty surprising, seeing how Bluetooth 3.0 is still rare to find these days. I wonder how fast version 4.0 will be since 3.0 is said to be blazing fast when it reaches its maximum potential.

Update: Apparently, the Pure will feature a 320 x 240 resolution display.
