New iTunes 9 "Early Beta" Photos Show Off Social Integration
The first notable feature depicted in the new shots is the Facebook integration. The images show the ability to create a new playlist and then share it on Facebook. The Facebook entry that subsequently appears on the user’s FB wall will include an iTunes link, presumably pointing to the shared playlist found on an iTunes page. Up next… How about some third-party device support? Yeah, very un-Apple but maybe Jobs & Co. have decided to turn over a new leaf.
Make sure not to miss Apple's event on September 9th that should go through all of this information. We don't know how legit these pictures are, but you can check out the link below for a couple more pictures.

Samsung to Increase Market Share to 20% By the End of the Year
According to the latest statistics and educated guesses, Samsung could push even closer to Nokia. The stats are saying that Samsung currently has a 19.2% market share, but by the end of the year that could increase to 20.3%. It's not a huge growth, but it's better than nothing. I love Samsung and I'd choose their phones over anyone else's at the moment. I'm hoping to get my hands on the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD by the end of the month.

HTC Hero Firmware Getting Updated; Pink HTC Hero Pictured Out of the Box
It's not available yet, but the HTC Hero is getting an update soon to fix the lag issues. I don't know if it's HTC's Sense UI that is causing the lag, but I do know that it's sexy. Thankfully enough, if the HTC Hero hits the US - on Sprint - then it'll have the firmware upgrade pre-installed.
Below are two pictures of the pink HTC Hero beside the white model. I'm not into the whole pink colour, but maybe some girls out there will like it - or other guys.

Will PS2 Backwards Compatibility Ever Come to the PS2? Let's Hope
In December 2008, Sony filed a patent for PS Emulation on the Cell processor and people believe that it will eventually come back. Maybe it will be in the rumoured 150GB / 250GB HDD equipped PS3 Slims. According to another rumour, backwards-compatibility could be made available via a download. Both rumours are still unconfirmed and could just be desperation at this point. I'm crossing my fingers that it comes back though.

Samsung Omnia I8000 Omnia II Hitting Germany In October With WinMo 6.5; Samsung B7610 Omnia Pro Hitting Germany Mid-September
The other handset that is headed to Germany is the B7610 Omnia Pro. This handset will be hitting Germany in mid-September - a bit earlier than the I8000 Omnia II. This handset will be pre-loaded with WinMo 6.1 unfortunately, but it will be available unlocked for €499 ($711 USD) as well. If you don't want to get it unlocked, don't worry because it will be subsidized on both Vodafone and E-Plus.
