Samsung B7610 Goes Through Redesign? Launching on T-Mobile as the Houdini?

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

This is really interesting. Although the title of the video below is Samsung B7610 it actually looks a bit different than the original B7610 that we know and love. Well, the video also mentions that this is the Houdini which we saw on T-Mobile's leaked roadmap a while ago - and we also heard that the said handset would be running Android. This handset has really similar specs to the B7610 though, that's: a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, an 800MHz CPU, GPS / WiFi support, 500MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 5MP AF camera with a power flash, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, an FM radio with RDS, DivX / DNSe support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, TV out, Opera browser, TouchWiz UI, and a 1,500mAh battery. The OS seems to be WinMo 6.1, but with WinMo 6.5 coming in two weeks, it'll likely be running that.

As you can see the spec sheet is almost identical to the B7610, so it could be a slight redesign.

Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 Spec Sheet Leaks Out

Labels: , , ,

Back in June, the Samsung B7320 Omnia Pro's full spec sheet leaked out, but what you see here is actually the Samsung B7330 Omnia Pro. This device should be slightly better than the B7320. The B7330 actually has: a 2.63-inch display with a 320 x 320 resolution, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, and HSDPA / WiFi / GPS support. This smartphone should be available in mid-October with Windows Mobile 6.5 pre-installed.

Samsung Omnia I8000 Omnia II Hitting Germany In October With WinMo 6.5; Samsung B7610 Omnia Pro Hitting Germany Mid-September

Labels: , , , , , ,

Two exciting handsets are going to be hitting Germany in the near future. The Samsung I8000 Omnia II looks like it is ready to hit Germany this October. This smartphone will be available unlocked for €649 ($924 USD) and on T-Mobile's network for an undisclosed price. The best part is that WinMo 6.5 will be pre-installed on this smartphone.

The other handset that is headed to Germany is the B7610 Omnia Pro. This handset will be hitting Germany in mid-September - a bit earlier than the I8000 Omnia II. This handset will be pre-loaded with WinMo 6.1 unfortunately, but it will be available unlocked for €499 ($711 USD) as well. If you don't want to get it unlocked, don't worry because it will be subsidized on both Vodafone and E-Plus.

Samsung Launches OmniaHD in India With a 1GHz CPU and Omnia Pro B7320

Labels: , , , , ,

Arguably the best phone that is available right now - spec-wise at least - just got launched in India. Samsung's OmniaHD has just hit India with its normal: 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 8MP camera capable of recording 720p video, and GPS / WiFi / HSDPA support. Now those look like the Omina HD's standard specs, but Samsung thought that they'd throw in a little extra flavour to this handset. Instead of the traditional ARM Cortex A8 600MHz CPU, they packed a 1GHz CPU inside of this handset. Yes, they made the OmniaHD even more of a Nokia N97-killer. The OmniaHD in India costs Rs. 33,990 ($705 USD).

Another phone was launched in India today is the Omnia Pro B7320. This smartphone has: a 2.4-inch display, a 3.15MP camera, WiFi / HSDPA / aGPS support, 256MB of ROM, a microSD card slot, 256MB of RAM, a 528MHz CPU, and it runs WinMo 6.1 - upgradeable to WinMo 6.5. The Omnia Pro costs Rs. 16,500 ($342 USD).

Labels: , , , , , ,

According to the latest news, the Samsung I8000 aka Omnia II and the B7610 OmniaPRO are expected to be available earlier than expected - and are also cheaper than expected. The I8000 Omnia II is expected to be available this August for €549 ($769 USD) and the B7610 OmniaPRO is expected to be available this July for €499 ($699 USD). They will still be running Windows Mobile 6.1, but they'll receive a free upgrade to WinMo 6.5 when it gets released. The source didn't identify exactly where these 2 handsets will be available, but we should know in the near future.

Samsung OmniaPRO B7320 Full Spec Sheet Revealed

Labels: , , ,

The Samsung OmniaPRO B7320 was announced last week, but Phone Arena has got the whole spec sheet this time. So, the OmniaPRO has: a 2.4-inch display with a 320 x 240 resolution, a 3MP AF camera capable of shooting VGA video at 30fps, quad-band GSM / dual-band UMTS, a microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.0, 3G, WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, aGPS, microUSB connectivity, and will run on WinMo 6.1. I don't know if this smartphone will be upgradeable to WinMo 6.5, since Samsung hasn't mentioned it yet.

Samsung Omnia Pro By July?

Labels: , ,

This is the latest rumour from the Samsung camp. The image above is just a mock-up and is not a real picture of the supposed Samsung Omnia Pro. Anyways, the Samsung Omnia Pro is expected to hit us in July with: a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 800 x 480 resolution, WinMo 6.1 (upgradeable after WinMo 6.5 release), a 5MP camera with autofocus and a certain type of flash, and video recording capabilities. Obviously the Samsung Omnia Pro will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard which will definitely be a nice addition. I wish the camera was 8 megapixels, but I guess 5 is good enough. I just hope that Samsung gets this touchscreen down-pat and that they iron all of the lag issues - if this handset is true.
