Telstra Bringing the HTC Wildfire To Australia On November 15th

Telstra in Australia has just announced that they'll be launching the HTC Wildfire in the next couple of months. They'll be gaining exclusive rights to this handset and the carrier has already announced that they'll be releasing on November 15th. The Wildfire packs a 3.2-inch QVGA display, HSDPA connectivity, WiFi b/g / aGPS support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 5MP camera, and Android 2.1 with the Sense UI. This will be the carrier's first pre-paid Android phone and it'll cost you 349 AUD ($317 USD).

Next iPod Touch To Feature Retina Display and Dual-Cameras, Coming In a Few Weeks

There's a rumour going around that Apple will be updating their iPod Touch in the near future. Actually, that's not the rumour because everyone should know that Apple will be updating that PMP in a couple of weeks. The rumour is that the new iPod Touch will feature a Retina display (similar to the iPhone 4) along with dual-cameras (front-facing and on the back) for FaceTime (using e-mail). Look out for it to be announced in the near future and should be hitting the market in the next couple of weeks.

7-Inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablet Becoming Official In Early September At IFA 2010

That's because the big unveil will take place at IFA 2010. As a reminder, IFA will take place in Berlin from September 3rd to September 8th. Dell and AT&T have finally announced exactly when the Dell Streak will be available. The rumour turned out to be true regarding the pricing. On August 13th, the Dell Streak Android-based MID will be released and it'll be $300 on a 2-year contract and $549.99 contract-free. If you ordered yours during the pre-sale though, you'll be getting yours on August 12th so you'll be one-day early!

HP Reportedly Tells Employees That They're WebOS Tablet (Hurricane) Is Coming In Q1 2011

A lot of people out there are just waiting for HP to release their WebOS tablet and it looks like we'll still have to wait at least 5 months until that happens. According to the latest word going around HP has reportedly told their employees that they're going to launch one in Q1 2011. The project, just like we heard before, is being codenamed "Hurricane". Specs are still unknown of course, but this is something to look forward to.

Virgin Launching the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) On August 12th

This shouldn't be surprising at all. Virgin Mobile in Canada will be launching the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) in the very near future. The carrier will be releasing it on August 12th and it will cost $49.95 on a 3-year contract and $349.95 contract-free. There's really not much to tell you besides that it'll have OS 5.0 on-board and will later get an upgrade to OS 6.0.

Motorola DROID 2 Becomes Official, Pre-Sales Tomorrow and In Stores August 12th

It took them long enough. Verizon and Motorola have finally made the DROID 2 official. The pre-sale kicks off online tomorrow and you'll be seeing them in stores starting on August 12th which is just two days away. The smartphone packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP camera, a 1GHz TI OMAP CPU, 3G mobile hotspot functionality, a microSD card slot (8GB in the box), 8GB of internal storage, Flash 10.1 support, Swype, and Android 2.2. Of course, the smartphone will be available for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. If you're wondering about the R2-D2 edition then it'll be available in September.

Bell has already released the heavenly smartphone and it looks like another carrier in Canada is going to be getting it as well. Out of all the carriers in Canada it'll be SaskTel and it'll definitely be their flagship device. The Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant packs a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, a 5MP camera, and Android 2.1 with the Touchwiz UI. This is a really great pick up for them!
