Utmost Technology's Awkward-Looking 42-Inch LCD TV

Labels:

This is the oval-shaped LCD TV from Utmost Technology and it is called the Fuss LC-4212B. The spec sheet, price, and availability are unknown at the time, but I don't really care. It looks like a large PSP to me and that's also what a bunch of the comments on Engadget say. I don't like the design at all, it looks ugly to me.

Gamer Supreme 928i Is Almost Here

Labels: , , ,

iBUYPOWER is back at it again with their gaming rigs and the one we'll take a look at today is the Gamer Supreme 928i. The spec sheet is decent for the price, so it's definitely worth a look. The 928i will have an Intel Core i7 2.66GHz 920 CPU, the Intel X58 motherboard, 6GB of DDR3 RAM (up to 24GB), a 1TB HDD, and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 1GB graphics card. It comes with a wide array of ports, including: 8 USB 2.0, 2 DVI, 2 eSATA, 1 TV out, etc. You get all of this for just $1,299 USD and you can start pre-ordering them right now at NewEgg. This rig is definitely beefy and has a fairly nice spec sheet for the price. Although some hardcore PC gamers create their own rig, this is a good start-up system.

HTC Magic Will Be Free Through Vodafone Starting On May 5

Labels: , , , , ,

The HTC Magic aka T-Mobile G2 will be free through Vodafone starting on May 5th, but obviously there will be a catch. It will only be free if you "agree to a monthly plan of £30 or more." The Magic will be shipping with the Cupcake version of Android, but I'm pretty sure that's obvious. Who knows when the HTC Magic / T-Mobile G2 will be available in the US or when the Cupcake version of Android will be available to those T-Mobile G1 users; we'll just all have to wait though.

Sony Shows Off XEL-1 21-Inch OLED TV Again

Labels: , , ,

We've seen this OLED TV a countless number of times - for about a year - now. The good ol' Sony XEL-1 21-inch OLED TV with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 1,366 x 768 resolution. The colours look amazing and it manages to stay under 1cm thin. OLEDs - and SSDs - are the future, we just have to wait until the prices go down. Enjoy the video below.

iPhone 4G Could Head To Verizon

Labels: , , ,

Meet Verizon's CEO, Ivan Seidenberg. He feels that Verizon could be the carrier for the iPhone 4G. AT&T is currently speaking with Apple to extend the iPhone deal to 2011. But, if that doesn't work out then Verizon could be in the ball game. This may be a bit of a stretch into the future, but it doesn't hurt to know the news beforehand. I, on the other hand, don't really care which carrier it comes out on because I'm pretty sure that here in Canada it will be available through Rogers. No conflicts here.

Silver DualShock 3 To Hit Gamestop On June 24

Labels: , , , ,

We heard about it a couple of days ago, but the rumours continue. It's still unconfirmed, but it is now listed in GameStop's future retail list. The silver DualShock 3 controller will be launching on June 24 for $54.99 USD at your local GameStop. Again, could this mean that a silver Playstation 3 is in the works? I don't know. It could be some wishful thinking, but if you pray hard enough it might just come true!

Windows Mobile 6.5 Will Be Available Starting On May 11

Labels: , , , , , ,

May 11 is my cousin's birthday, so maybe I should get her a new phone using Windows Mobile 6.5, so that she can get rid of her Sony Ericsson phone. Anyways, Windows Mobile 6.5 is said to be officially launching on May 11, which is a couple of weeks away. Thankfully, Windows Mobile 6.5 is going to be available before the expected release date, which was obviously later on this year, I'm just unsure when exactly. We all know how slow WinMo 6.1 is, so it's good to see that we can all move on.

Garmin-Asus Nuviphone G60 This June?

Labels: , , , , , ,

That's the latest rumour on the street. Instead of including GPS into cell phones, this will be a GPS with phone capabilities. Confusing? Not really, once you wrap your head around it. The Nuviphone G60 that was shown off at MWC could be available as soon as this June. The handset's specs are still fairly unknown, but the Nuviphone M20 should be available shortly after the G60 gets released.

Sony Ericsson Faces €358 Million Q1 Loss; No Android Phone For A While

Labels: , , , , ,

It's no surprise that Sony Ericsson is failing. They are now posting their 3rd quarterly loss in a row with a €358 million loss in Q1 2009 alone, which is quite a bit of money. It's no surprise that they now have to cut 2,000 jobs in order to soften this burden. They're really slipping as a company and their last hope is the Idou, which I hope isn't overpriced like the XPERIA X1 (unlocked) is. I'm still not interested in it though because there's no slide-out QWERTY keyboard. I love me some QWERTY.

A couple of weeks ago, we heard about Orange expecting to release 5 Android handsets by the end of this year. Well, it looks like we could possibly cut out one from the list. Following their huge loss, it looks like Sony Ericsson will be cutting out their Android phone for the year. Sad, sad news - for Android not Sony Ericsson. Too bad Sony Ericsson really doesn't have any time to slack off. I don't really care if Sony Ericsson were to just get wiped off the face of the planet right now, sorry.

Square Enix Releasing a New Game Called Order of War

Labels:

Square Enix alongside Wargaming.net are going to release a new game this Fall based in the World War II scene. The game will be called Order of War and it will be an RTS (Real-Time Strategy). Hopefully for Square Enix, Starcraft 2 is not available by then because I think we all know which RTS will dominate the many years to come. You can check out the official website for Order of War and you can also enjoy the short clip below.

3DConnexion Mouse Has An LCD Screen

Labels:

Believe it or not but the picture above is a mouse... yes, a computer mouse. The 3DConnexion SpacePilot has an LCD screen and a bunch of buttons. I'm guessing that this mouse is supposed to increase your productivity, but I don't think it would help me at all. It has buttons for your important shortcuts, but it has an LCD screen and that alone would really distract me. It has drivers for Windows XP and Vista, Solaris 8 and 10, and Linux, but it looks Mac users are left out to dry here. The SpacePilot mouse is now available for a low, low price of $499 USD.
