Originally supposed to be available n October 6th, T-Mobile is actually selling the G2 smartphone right now, if you're willing to give up $199.99 on a 2-year contract. Of course, if you head to Radio Shack you can get one for $149.99 which is a bit of a better deal. This smartphone comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, the new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU, a 5MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and stock (vanilla) Android 2.2.

Radio Shack or The Shack will be launching the T-Mobile G2 for just $149.99 on a 2-year contract which is already a sweet deal. They've sweetened that deal by getting said smartphone on October 3rd which is a few days before T-Mobile and other stores get it. Looks like there is one more reason to step into that store.

If you're looking for the T-Mobile G2 then you won't have to wait much longer. The pre-orders are now up for current customers and the smartphone itself will be available starting on October 6th. This one is going for $199.99 on a 2-year contract of course, but Radio Shack has it for $149.99 if you're interested in saving $50. I'll update this post with a T-Mobile link when it's up for everyone.

According to the latest word going around you'll be able to pre-order the Android-based T-Mobile G2 "soon". Of course, you can just head over to Best Buy to pre-order one but I'm talking about pre-ordering one directly though T-Mobile - either online or in stores. Of course, this would mean that the launch should be taking place in a couple of weeks. TMoNews has mentioned that the launch date could be October 16th - a bit off from the rumoured October 6th date. Either way, you'll be able to get this slider with the new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU soon, so just wait for it.

T-Mobile's G2 was announced at midnight on September 9th and they've issued another press release just after midnight on September 10th. This time the announcement states that it'll be available for pre-sale later today for $199.99 on a 2-year contract. Best Buy has mentioned that it'll be hitting their stores starting on October 6th. Fone Arena mentions that it's not all about clock speed for this smartphone. Inside you'll find a new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU and the benchmarks have reported that it's faster than the Samsung Captivate and just about as fast as the Nexus One running Froyo. The Captivate features a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU while the Nexus One has the oh-so-famous 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

T-Mobile has just made the G2 official. The price and release date is still unknown right now, but at least we have the gist of the spec sheet. This packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP AF camera with a flash and 720p HD video recording, Flash support, a microSD card slot, 4GB of internal storage (plus 8GB card in the box), a Qualcomm 800MHz CPU, HSPA+ (4G) connectivity, and Android 2.2. An interesting tweet from T-Mobile USA was, well, tweeted a couple of hours ago. It's a bunch of jibberish for most people out there but if you know binary code then this apparently says G2newscomingsoon. In case you forgot, the T-Mobile G2 should feature a touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Flash 10.1 support, a new 800MHz Qualcomm CPU, and Android 2.2. This should launch for $199.99 on a 2-year contract.

T-Mobile Scoop has just confirmed some of the rumoured specs regarding the T-Mobile G2 smartphone. Inside Beneath the touchscreen display, you'll find a Qualcomm MSM7x30 800MHz CPU along with Android 2.2 "Froyo" and Flash support. This smartphone is also confirmed to have plain old vanilla Android on-board so that's good news for some of you out there. It should be launching for $199.99 on a 2-year contract but we don't know when it will hit the carrier.

Another T-Mobile USA inventory screenshot has leaked today and it's talking about the G2, which should be hitting the carrier soon. If you take a look at the picture above, it shows that the T-Mobile G2 should be launching for $199.99 on a 2-year contract and for $499.99 contract-free. A complete spec sheet is still unknown so we'll have to wait for that important information.

Cell Phone Signal has just got the scoop on a bunch of pretty official photos regarding the T-Mobile G2. This smartphone will be known as the Desire Z outside of the US and should be launching in the next month or so in the US (on T-Mobile of course). Unfortunately, it may only come in silver, at least that's what the website is saying.

We heard about the date before and it looks like it has just been "confirmed" by Phandroid via TMo News. T-Mobile USA looks like they'll be releasing the G2 smartphone (HTC-made) on September 29th. Earlier this morning we heard about the G2 firmware leaking out which pointed out that the smartphone will be rocking a new Qualcomm MSM7x30 chipset. Unfortunately, this won't be a dual-core model but it should be one of their most efficient chipsets to date.

Although there are just about no details regarding this new device that hit the FCC, it tells us that it does have AWS 3G connectivity and it's coming from HTC. This leads Engadget to believe that this could be the T-Mobile G2 or even the HTC Glacier. It's really unknown right now so all we can really do is wait around. Check out the filing here.

Update: According to Phandroid and CellPhoneSignal, the HTC PC10100 hit the FCC (here) and this one is definitely the T-Mobile G2. Confirmed specs seem to be a 1GHz CPU, 5MP AF camera with a flash, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and WiFi b/g/n support.

Engadget just got some exclusive pictures regarding the upcoming T-Mobile G2, which is definitely the HTC Vision. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard looks easy enough to type on and Engadget points out that there's a 3.7-inch touchscreen display on there - you can also see an optical trackpad and four touch-sensitive buttons. Check out another two photos below!

Update: Engadget got another slew of photos, this time showing the hinge beneath the keyboard. Unfortunately, this won't have a tilting screen - like the HTC Touch Pro 2.

There's a rumour going around regarding when T-Mobile USA's G2 Android-based smartphone will be launching. Phandroid has pointed out that it could be on September 29th. This smartphone should be one of the best of the market since it should be the HTC Vision which will have HSPA+ connectivity. If this doesn't play out, it should land sometime in September - so maybe even earlier.

Well, well, well, T-Mobile has put up a teaser site for an upcoming Android-based smartphone that will feature HSPA+ connectivity. Last week we heard that the T-Mobile G2 is actually the HTC Vision / G1 Blaze so it'll be a smartphone that will be pretty desirable. Nothing else is known right now so you can just check out the teaser site here and sign up whenever you want!

T-Mobile USA has just mentioned that their next Android device will be available in "early Summer" which is just a couple of weeks away. They didn't mention what Android device they are launching, but it's most likely the HTC Magic / Google Ion, and it could launch as the myTouch 3G / T-Mobile G2. I wonder if the HTC Magic will get the rumoured 5MP camera upgrade that we heard about a while ago. We'll just have to see in the near future.

Cole Brodman, T-Mobile's CTO, has mentioned that there will be 3 different manufacturers to launch an Android handset before the end of this year. We know that HTC and Samsung are already releasing their Android handsets before the end of the year, so who could the third "partner" be? Could it be Motorola with their Calgary or could it be that Huawei handset? To me, it doesn't really matter which device it is because they are both awesome in their own way. We'll just have to wait and see what T-Mobile releases later this year. It's really something to get excited about.

Well, that's according to the picture you see here. The very lost phone - naming wise - looks like it is spotted with a 5MP camera in this picture. Since the branding on the phone does say T-Mobile it could be hitting the US as the MyTouch 3G with a 5MP camera. We'll see what happens in the near future. It's only a matter of time for this to be officially announced. It's between a 3.2MP and a 5MP camera, so it's a toss-up. On a side note, I hope us Canadians get the 5MP model, but I have a feeling we won't.

What's this!? Here's a leaked screenshot of T-Mobile's inventory system and it looks like there is a new HTC phone coming out soon. A couple of months ago, T-Mobile was toying with a couple of names that they could use for the HTC Magic when it gets released to America. Well, MYTOUCH 3G [with Google] was one of them and it looks like there is an HTC phone with this name coming to America. The HTC Magic should be coming to America as the T-Mobile G2, but it looks like could be released as the MYTOUCH 3G. Personally, I don't really care what the name is, but I do think that the T-Mobile G2 name does sound better.
