Here's a pre-launch list of phones that are "coming soon" to AT&T. We don't know when they will launch, but they all should be available by the end of the year. The most important four on this list are below, courtesy of Boy Genius.
The BlackBerry 9700 is supposedly the BlackBerry Onyx; the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 is the handset that has long been delayed and no one should care about it at this point. Like it says, the HTC Pure could be the HTC Snap with its unique and special AT&T name; the HTC Tilt 2 is supposedly AT&T's HTC Touch Pro 2, so that's definitely good news. When the release dates are announced, I'll have them all for you.

- Garmin Nuvifone G60
- HTC Tilt 2, HTC Tilt 2 without camera
- HTC Pure (believe it’s the HTC Snap)

LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 Passes the FCC
At this point, we still don't know what the LG Chocolate VX8575 is, but we're hoping it closely resembles - or is - the LG BL40. On the FCC listing, the Chocolate Touch has: a touchscreen display, a camera, Bluetooth, GPS support, and EVDO support. Unfortunately, the FCC filing also says that this device will not have WiFi or an FM transmitter. This could mean that this will hit Verizon, since they are known for pulling stuff off of their handsets - more specifically pulling WiFi on the BlackBerry Storm. We'll just have to wait until more information about this handset pops up because that's all we can do. In the meantime, you can check out this link. It identifies a couple of handsets that are scheduled to be released on August 23 - hint: the LG Chocolate Touch is one of them.

T-Mobile Launching "Opal", Possible Android Version of the HTC Touch Viva

T-Mobile Opal
An internal document has just stated that T-Mobile will be releasing the T-Mobile Opal later this year. The "Opal" name is key because that was the codename for the HTC Touch Viva. Could this mean that we could see an Android version of the HTC Touch Viva? Possibly. It should have similar features, so we're looking at a low-end Android handset here. The Opal should have: a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 2MP camera, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, and WiFi. Let's hope the specs get a tiny bump.
Surprisingly enough, this document lines up with what we heard in July, so check out this link for more information. If what we heard in July is true this handset could be released as early as next month (September).

These specs are not confirmed, but they're probably pretty accurate. Clearly, we still don't know how large the display is, but it thankfully has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The CPU - I think - is a perfect fit for this phone, but it's underpowered if you're going to classify this as a high-end handset. Either way, we're looking for a confirmation of these specs.
Update on August 10th: Gizmodo just reminded me, the rumoured launch date of this phone is October 21 on T-Mobile.
