Looking a lot like the Desire S - possibly just a placeholder right now - it looks like HTC has a new Windows Phone 7 handset in the pipes and this one could actually raise the cameraphone bar around the world. According to the ad below, an HTC WP7 handset that'll launch sometime in the future will sport a 16MP camera with a dual-LED flash. No doubt this one will record 1080p Full HD video as well. Personally, I haven't heard of a 16MP sensor for mobile phones go into production but you never know what could happen in the fast-evolving tech world.

LG looks like they have another Windows Phone 7 handset in the pipe and it's the E700. This leaked .xml file says that the smartphone will have Internet Explorer 9 which tells us that it could actually launch in the future with the "Mango" update pre-installed. Of course, it could have the improved browser without the actual update but we'll just have to see what happens.

If you head over to your local Best Buy store in Canada you might be intrigued with what you find. The stores across the country are now taking pre-orders for both the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play and the XPERIA Arc. They're both priced the same: at $99.99 on a 3-year contract and $549.99 contract-free. I believe that the XPERIA Play is the better option but the choice is really up to you.

9 to 5 Mac has just reported something pretty good if you're still waiting for the white iPhone 4 from Apple. Apparently, the photo above was taken of the Verizon inventory system and it shows said smartphone in there. MC679LL/A is the one you're looking at and that's just one-digit higher than the black iPhone models (MC678LL/A). Not much left to tell you here but the launch could actually be soon - after quite a lengthy wait.
