Toshiba NB305, HP Mini 210, and Lenovo S10-3 Netbooks To Get Upgraded To Atom N455 CPU

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

The latest rumour states that Toshiba is looking to update their NB305 netbook so that it'll be outfitted with the newer Intel Atom N455 CPU. This will give it support for DDR3 RAM, which will give it a slight speed increase. Of course, the rest of the specs will remain the same, a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, a 250GB HDD, Bluetooth / WiFi b/g/n support, and Windows 7, and it looks like Toshiba will only put in a 1GB DDR3 stick inside of this netbook. The launch date is unknown right now, neither is the price.

Update: Engadget has just pointed out that the HP Mini 210 netbook will also be getting updated to feature the Intel Atom N455 CPU as well. This and the NB305 is expected to launch for €350 ($467 USD).

Update: Netbooked has just spotted the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 netbook over in the UK with the Intel Atom N455 CPU. It looks like a number of netbooks will be getting the upgrade, which is great news. The 3G model is expected to launch for around £378 ($579 USD) while the no-3G model is expected to be priced at £313 ($480 USD).
