T-Mobile G2 Touch Now Available in the UK, Cheaper Than Expected
Just like yesterday suggested, you can now get your hands on the T-Mobile G2 Touch. If you live in the UK, you can now get the T-Mobile G2 Touch aka HTC Hero for free on an 18-month contract as long as you pay at least £35 ($58 USD) a month. The cheapest contract is the "Combi 30" which costs £35 month, which is enough to get you 700 minutes, unlimited texts, and unlimited mobile internet. The more expensive plan is the Flext 40, which you have to pay £40 ($66 USD) a month for 18-months. On this plan you get £225 ($371 USD) credit and unlimited mobile internet. Check it out on T-Mobile's official website now.

T-Mobile G2 Touch aka HTC Hero to Be Available Online Tomorow, In Stores in a Couple of Days
According to T-Mobile's official Twitter account, the G2 Touch aka HTC Hero will be available online tomorrow and will be available in stores "over the next few days." At least this is a bit earlier than the supposed August release date. Looks out for it online tomorrow; I'll update this post with a link to the G2 Touch. If the pricing stays the same as they mentioned before, it will hit T-Mobile for free on their new Flext contract which is £40 ($65 USD) a month.

T-Mobile G2 Touch / HTC Hero Delayed Until August; August 15th on Amazon
So much for that July release date. The HTC Hero / T-Mobile G2 Touch has been delayed until August in Germany. We heard about Amazon delaying the HTC Hero for 9 days, but this is definitely more than that. I'm sure the launch will be okay though, I mean who can't wait to get their hands on this device?
Update on July 21: According to Pocket-Lint, the HTC Hero is scheduled to land on August 15th on Amazon.

HTC Hero Release Pushed Back to July 24?
According to Amazon, this is the case. The HTC Hero was shceduled for a July 15th release date, but now Amazon says the targeted release date is July 24th. I don't know how this will affect the release dates of T-Mobile (G2 Touch) and Orange (HTC Hero) since their websites still say "Coming Soon." Don't forget that this will be the best Android phone to date spec-wise and it also rocks the new HTC Sense UI which is sure to amaze a bunch of people.
Just to recap, the HTC Hero has: a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera, a Qualcomm 528MHz CPU, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / dual-band 7.2Mbps HSPA/WCDMA, 512MB of RAM, 288MB of RAM, a digital compass, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR / A2DP, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. Don't forget that it runs Android and has Flash support.

T-Mobile UK Renames HTC Hero As G2 Touch; Pricing Details Outlined
Thanks to a tweet from the official T-Mobile UK Twitter account we now have confirmation that the HTC Hero will be launched by them under the G2 Touch name. You may remember that it was originally going to launch as the G1 Touch, but it looks like they decided to change it. I guess this could be because the name could be too similar to the T-Mobile G1. This will obviously create less problems in the future, but for now, we're confused.
T-Mobile UK has also confirmed that the G2 Touch will be available for free on a new 18-month contract that costs £40 ($65 USD) a month; "the tariff will be one of their Flext schemes, offering £225 ($364 USD)-worth of credit per month to be used as the subscriber sees fit." I don't know what the part quotes means, but maybe you do.
