Capcom Announces a Bunch of Games Including Marvel Vs Capcom 3, With Trailer!

Labels: , , ,

It was just a rumour last week and now Capcom has just gone out and announced Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, which is big news! We don't know anything about the game yet, but we do know that it'll get launched a year from now - Spring 2011. That's a long wait, unfortunately, and it'll be hitting the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

Capcom also went on to announce Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, which will be released in Q1 2011. Capcom announced some Nintendo DS games as well: Okamiden (launch set for next year) and Ghost Trick Phantom Detective (launch set for next Winter). Everything else you need to know it below - via Ars Technica.

Update: The video above has been updated and it's now the first MvC 3 trailer. I got it from PS3Blog.

There's also some new details on the upcoming Dead Rising 2. The game will include co-op play, and a downloadable prologue dubbed Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will be released exclusively on Xbox Live before the full game's August release. The game is set three years prior to the retail release and will introduce players to new protagonist Chuck Greene.
It was also announced that both Lost Planet 2 and Super Street Fighter IV will be getting launch day downloadable content. For SSF4, this will take the form of new costume packs, while a free Tournament Mode will also be available as a free download on June 15. Lost Planet 2, meanwhile, will be getting a new map pack.

Capcom and Microsoft Announcing A Couple Of Things On January 26th

Labels: , , ,

We don't know what Capcom and Microsoft are planning announce, but they're going to mention something on January 26th, next Tuesday. There's actually no hints as to what it will be but we know that it won't be a Japan-only thing - the photo above was spotted on the Xbox Japan website. Maybe it's something to do with some Capcom games supporting Natal, but we'll see what happens next week.

Samsung Set to Launch Application Store on September 14th

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Looks like Samsung's app store is on the way. "The imaginatively named Samsung Application Store launches on September 14 for British, French, and Italian Omnia and I8910 HD handsets, later coming to the Omnia II and OmniaLITE as well as users in various other nations." Samsung has mentioned that "over 300" apps will be available at launch, "while partners like Electronic Arts, Capcom, Gameloft, and TAITO have signed on for the fun." Let's just hope it won't flop like the Nokia Ovi Store. Check out this website for what you see above.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Available on PSN Today For $14.99; Package Hitting GameStop Today Too

Labels: , , , , , ,

The long wait is over Marvel and/or Capcom fans. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is going to hit the PSN today for $14.99. If you live in the US, GameStop should be offering up their Marvel vs Capcom 2 package. In case you forgot, the package has: a download code (not the actual game), an eight-page colour manual, a free 1-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics, and 2000 Capcom-Unity points. And yes, the August 13th date we heard about clearly stood still.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Retail Package Coming This Week to GameStop, Doesn't Have the Game Inside

Labels: , , , , , ,

This photo above is what the Marvel vs Capcom 2 retail package will look like at your local Gamestop. However, this PS3 exclusive package does not contain the game. It contains a download code, an eight-page colour manual, a free 1-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics, and 2000 Capcom-Unity points. The best part is that this package will only cost $14.99 USD. This package should be available later this week, so keep a close eye on it. By the way, we've heard August 13th.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Hitting PSN on August 13th For $15

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

So much for Marvel vs Capcom 2 coming out on XBLA and PSN in "late July." Last week, we heard that MvC 2 would hit XBLA on July 29th, but the PSN date was still TBD (To Be Determined). Capcom has just mentioned that Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be hitting PSN on August 13th with a $15 price tag. If I had the PS3, this would be a sure buy for me - it's a true classic. Mark it on your calendars folks!

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Hitting XBLA on July 29th, PSN Date Coming Soon

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Instead of the rumoured June 29th release date, it looks like XBLA will get Marvel vs Capcom 2 a month later - on July 29th. The PSN release date is still MIA, but Capcom has promised that the announcement for that will be soon. On XBLA, this classic will be priced at $15 USD, so let's hope PSN gets the same - or lower - price.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Hitting PSN and Xbox Live in Late July

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

It looks like Marvel vs Capcom 2 will not be available on June 29, like we expected. But, it looks like it will be available "closer to the end of July" according to Capcom's Twitter account. So, shift that marker on your calendar to July because it will not be launching in 2 days, sorry!

Capcom Confirms Tatsunoko vs Capcom

Labels: , , ,

Looks like that magazine scan from 2 nights ago proved to be real. Last night, Capcom confirmed that Tatsunoko vs Capcom will be available in North America and it will be released for the Nintendo Wii. I don't know if it will be exclusive to the Wii, but so far, it looks like it is. This game will be playable at E3, so we'll get some hands-on footage of that in a couple of weeks!! I'm so excited for this year's E3, mainly for Sony's announcements though.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom Hitting North America

Labels: , , ,

According to this magazine scan, this seems to be the case. If it's true, it will probably be announced at E3, since this is pretty big news. People may hate me, but I don't even know who Tatsunoko is. Maybe I'm just not hardcore enough to know the company. Maybe I'll know in the future. This game seems to be great news though, so it must be pretty big. So, Tatsunoko vs Capcom is going to hit North America, but no one knows when.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Hitting The PS3 and Xbox 360 This Summer

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Ahh yes, the rumours were true. The countdown is finished and Marvel vs Capcom 2 will indeed be relaunching. It will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN this summer. The aforementioned game will also have online play, so it's bound to get people excited. Playstation 3 owners should be expecting a demo this week - could be on Thursday because of the usual update schedule. You can visit the Capcom Unity website for a sneak peek or take a look at the video below if you please.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Relaunch In 6 Days?

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Don't you love countdowns? Well, I do!! And Tu4ar.com has a countdown for what could possibly be a re-release or at least a glimpse of a new [or old] Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 - Wii fans, you lose. At first, I didn't get what Tu4ar.com had anything to do with Marvel vs Capcom 2, but thankfully, Kotaku explained it for me:

Why are people linking Tu4ar.com with Marvel vs Capcom 2? Well there's the large number 2 for starters, but perhaps more telling is the website's name. Anyone who played Marvel vs Capcom 2 for any length of time remembers the character select music, in which a soulful singer repeated "I wanna take you for a ride" over and over and over again. Tu4ar.com equals take you 4 a ride dot com.

We only have to wait for 6 more days to see exactly what this countdown is leading to. I'm so excited - even though I don't have Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, sadly enough.

iGoogle Game Themes

Labels: , , , , , , ,

If you use iGoogle and go to the Themes section, you will notice that there is a new heading called 'Games.' Yes, that's right, themes that involve games. There is only 4 pages right now, but that could expand in the future. So far the line-up isn't too bad, you got your World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty: World at War, and Street Fighter IV (my theme) themes. There are also some classics like Mario, Zelda, and Galaga. If you can't decide on what theme to choose just choose the Game of the Day theme.

Capcom Putting PS1 Classics Onto The PSN

Labels: , , , ,

Capcom is going to push themselves to get more of their PS1 classics onto the PSN in order to gain more revenue and to make their fans happy. This would be exciting for me, if I had the PS3. I'm still excited because this means a possible Marvel vs Capcom on the PSN, how sweet would that be? That's just about the only PS1 classic from Capcom I'd want on the PSN. Give me Marvel vs Capcom and we'll be on good terms.

Devil May Cry Ships 10 Million!

Labels: , , , , ,

Capcom's Devil May Cry franchise have now shipped 10 million units. This may not be the most gigantic news out there, but this is an amazing feat for Dante (main character in DMC). I am proud to say that I actually bought Devil May Cry 3, three times. The first two times, I bought it for myself and the third time was for my uncle (He's only 23, don't worry). DMC 3 was great and around the release of DMC 4, I really wanted it. But without a PS3, what was the point? I really, really wanted to get PS3 just for DMC4 because I enjoyed DMC3 so much. DMC might not have sold 10 million units yet, but they have shipped 10 million units, so they're almost there.

Customize Gmail Themes, Blackberry Niagara, IE 8's Incompatible Sites, Capcom Announcing New Game, Motorola ZN 300

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

You can now customize the colours in Gmail to however you like, for the most part. The themes you can make now are pretty plain and ugly. But, i'm sure that Google is just trying out the new customizable themes. Knowing Google, you will be able to further customize your Gmail layout later on. So, i guess this customization is in beta, just like Gmail still is. I won't be changing my Gmail layout because i like the themes they already have.

The Blackberry Niagara is on its way. There is no confirmed date, but rumours are saying that it will be available in May of this year. The Niagara looks good, but i am not attracted to the rear of the phone. Boy Genius says that "you can definitely think of it as a cross between the Bold and the Curve 8900. It's bigger than the Curve, but smaller than the Bold." The phone itself is said to be part of the "large screen family" like the Bold. It will also have the standard QWERTY keyboard, a 480 x 360 resolution screen (again, similar to the Bold), aGPS, a 3.2MP camera and has a 624MHz Qualcomm MSM7600 processor.

Today for lunch, i went to ashlee's place, so it was me, her and Nikki. Nikki mentioned that since Chrome was out of beta (She thought Chrome was still in beta, cause she got it confused with Windows 7, LOL), she's going to be making the switch. Chrome is just that fast. My Firefox takes forever to open up nowadays and Chrome pops up, just about, instantly. Anyways, we're not talking about Chrome or Firefox in this post though. I'm going to continue my Internet Explorer bashing. Just how good is Internet Explorer 8? Well, it may have improved speed-wise, but they have an incompatibility list. These are sites that don't render correctly, meaning they don't load the way they are meant to. For a full list go to this link, via ZD Net. Some notables are: google.com, microsoft.com, yahoo.com, live.com, wikipedia.org, youtube.com, gizmodo.com, kotaku.com. Wow, i know! But, just in case you wanted to know just how many sites show up on this "incompatibility list" - it's a grand total of 2,400 major sites. Gotta love Internet Explorer!

Capcom will be revealing a trailer for a new game that they are going to be releasing. "The announcement will apparently come in the form of a trailer available though Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the evening of February 23 (Japan Time)." Other details are unknown, for the time being. It'll be exciting to see what game it will be. Any guesses?

At MWC this year, Motorola has yet to unleash anything that catches the consumer's eyes. Even Sony Ericsson managed to create some buzz with their Idou (See two videos here of the Idou's new interface, via Gizmodo) Anyways, here's a look at the best Motorola thing i've seen so far. The Motorola ZN 300. It still looks like junk, but this could be the reason why Motorola is going down the drain. This phone is packed with a 3MP camera, runs Linux and has Opera Mini as the default browser.

Samsung's MID Has WiMAX, Nintendo DSi, Capcom Could Add More SFIV Characters, New Final Fantasy XIII Chracters, TI and Wind River Create Something

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

We've already seen NVIDIA's attempts at the MID and now it's time to head over to Samsung. The SWD-M100D looks decent, boasting a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and a TV out. This MID also has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, but was seen running WinMo 6.1, which is torture to use. It does have WiMAX, so i guess we can give it some kudos for that.

IGN released a statement before that the Nintendo DSi was going to be released on April 4 for $179.99 USD on this side of the world. Well, the real release date and price have just been announced. Oh, and did i mention a new colour? So, look out for the DSi on April 5 for $169.99 USD. In Japan, they released a black and white version of the DSi. Well in the US, there will also be 2 versions, it will be the normal black and a new blue model. It will be bundled with a "DS rhythm game" called Rhythm Heaven.

Apparently, a new statement from the Street Fighter IV development team said that they have already done the pre-texturing to a few more characters and that if the voice of the gamer is heard, they could add more characters, via patches. This is exciting news. Imagine getting some SFII characters into the mix, like T. Hawk or Dee Jay. Street Fighter IV looks like it will be a big game, so gamers let your voice be heard. Request more characters and Capcom will try their best to meet your demands.

3 more Final Fantasy characters have leaked: Gabo (Gabou), Lebro (Rebro) and Markie (Marquis). These names may not carry over to the English version. But, at least now you know that there were 3 new characters that were leaked. If you want to see the characters, go to this link, via ps3.qj.net.

TI as in Texas Instruments, not the rapper. And "something" refers to the device that you see on the left side and in the video below. I'm not sure what this device is and i don't really want to call it an MID, but that is what it looks like. Texas Instruments and Wind River have worked together to fuse this device together, the Zoom OMAP34x-II. This device has a solid 4.1-inch touchscreen, HDMI out, 16GB of memory, an 8MP camera, an SD card clot, and has a large QWERTY keypad. This Android-running device will have 2 models; One model will have Wi-Fi only and the other one has 3G, they will go for $1150 USD and $1399 USD, respectively. The high pricing of this device is where i question it. With $1000 USD you can get a laptop that is a much better device than this, but the video is definitely worth a look. The Android UI that it runs is amazing. Reminded me of Pre's innovative UI. Maybe the UI is a bit overdo-ing it though. The video is below, via Gizmodo.
