We already know that Walmart will be launching Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at midnight on November 10th, but it looks like Best Buy will be doing the same thing. Best Buy lures you in front of their restaurants by offering an instant $10 gift card - but only to Reward Zone Gamer's Club members. In PlayStation: The Official Magazine they have just mentioned that Killzone 3 is in development and they're targeting a 2010 release date for it. The magazine also mentions that Resistance 3 and a sequel to Call of Duty: World at War is also in the works.

According to both Amazon and Costco, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 bundle is expected to launch for $399.99 USD starting on November 10th - which is a week after Sony officially launches the 250GB PS3 Slim. There's not much left to say here, but it looks like the game will still be here in early November!

Microsoft has just confirmed that a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundle will be released when the game launches. This new Xbox 360 will be black and will have a 250GB HDD inside. It'll also be retailing for $399 USD. Unfortunately, the night vision goggles will be sold separately.

On a side note, maybe Sony is planning to do the same thing with their rumoured 250GB HDD PS3 Slim model.

You should already know that the Xbox 360 and the PS3 version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 will be available on November 10, but what about the release date for the Wii? According to the latest rumour, the Wii version will also be dropping on November 10, so it'll be a field day for CoD on that day.

You may or may not remember, but the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has gotten its name changed a bunch of times. After reportedly dropping the "Call of Duty" name, Infinity Ward mentioned that the game will strictly be called Modern Warfare 2. Well, it looks like Infinity Ward has decided to place the "Call of Duty" name back into the title. This is probably because they don't want to confuse any consumers - because y'know, it could. Anyways, I guess that's what the box cover will look like when it launches later this year - November 10 to be exact.

Above is a teaser of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game. The clip is actually extremely short - only 17 seconds - so it's definitely just a teaser. It looks pretty promising though. It looks like we'll see more Modern Warfare 2 on May 24, so be on the lookout.

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 recently had a slight name change. They've decided to drop the "Call of Duty" part of it and they've renamed it solely to Modern Warfare 2. I hope this word goes around because some CoD fans might get confused over this recent name change. Expect Modern Warfare 2 on November 10 of this year.

If you use iGoogle and go to the Themes section, you will notice that there is a new heading called 'Games.' Yes, that's right, themes that involve games. There is only 4 pages right now, but that could expand in the future. So far the line-up isn't too bad, you got your World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty: World at War, and Street Fighter IV (my theme) themes. There are also some classics like Mario, Zelda, and Galaga. If you can't decide on what theme to choose just choose the Game of the Day theme.

Gamers rejoice! Infinity Ward has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will indeed be here for the Christmas time. On November 10, Modern Warfare 2 will be available! GDC is halfway done at this point and this is one of the only things I've talked about. But whatever, this is important stuff. So, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming on November 10. Activision CFO, Thomas Tippl, has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will "definitely be arriving this holiday season and is, apparently, 'looking incredible.'" This is great news, for all of you Call of Duty fans. I would be one too, but i don't have a next-gen console. Someone buy me a PS3 please, i beg of you.

Word is spreading about the Cupcake Android update and apparently it is going to be released on the T-Mobile G1 sometime in April. This is good news for you G1 users out there, but it is not entirely confirmed. I've read that everyone is waiting for this update because it's just that good. I don't know exactly what the new changes in Cupcake are, but i'm sure if you're a T-Mobile G1 owner, you already know what they are.

Google has just released a new feature in Google Reader. You can now comment on other users' shared items on Google Reader. The feature was just released today so what you can comment on is still limited, but it's a decent feature. Although, I don't think I'll be using it or will I be receiving comments on any of my shared items, but it doesn't really matter to me. The only thing I share on Google Reader are my blog posts anyway.

Panasonic has just revealed most of their VIERA 2009 HDTV prices. Thanks to Engadget, i found this chart revealing most of the release dates and prices of their new TVs.

Looks like Samsung's Android phones will be delayed. Enough to the point where their Android phones will not be showcased at this year's MWC. But it's okay, there's still the i8910 Acme and the S8300, right? Samsung is new to the Android OS, but it's still kind of surprising that the phone had to be delayed this much. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait. Maybe, an Omnia successor?

Activision-Blizzard has just hinted that the Starcraft II beta will begin in the "months ahead." Obviously, this is not a direct hint, since it was kind of obvious that it is coming soon. "Furthermore, the beta will include an early look at the new & improved Battle.net architecture that will ship with the game." I simply can't wait for this. It's gonna be amazing.

In response to Facebook Connect and OpenID's alliance, Google has responded by adding a social bar to their Google Friend Connect. I don't think that this addition will bring them closer to trumping Facebook Connect, but it's a start. "Google's new Social Web Blog introduces us to the social bar, a new gadget that 'concentrates many of the basic social functions into a small strip at the top or bottom of your webpage.'" The social bar will contain information, such as: your site's activity feed, comment wall and your member list.

Gmail has slightly altered how you organize your contacts. There are now 4 new options that relate to your contacts: contact merging, all contacts, removing contacts, and searching your contacts. First off, contact merging will combine those 3 accounts that your friend has into one. Secondly, "instead of Suggested Contacts, you'll now see a group called All Contacts which, as the name would suggest, is where all of your contacts live and thus a good view for merging duplicate contacts." Third on the list is removing your contacts. Yes, "you can finally move contacts out of the My Contacts group." This is probably something that should have been implemented before, but you do have it now. Last, but not least is searching through all of your contacts. This new Gmail feature will strengthen the search feature. Instead of being restricted to searching for email addresses and names, you now get the feature to search using "phone numbers, notes fields, and mailing addresses as well." Thank you Google, for all of these improvements.

As of right now Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to hit consumers by this year's holiday season. Write this down on your Christmas list.

So, the numbers are in. Call of Duty: World at War has just passed Gears of War 2 on units sold. To date, World at War has sold 4.34 million units, compared to Gears of War 2's reported 4.30 million. I've heard from many people that this new Call of Duty: World at War is actually worse than the last one, called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It'll be surprising to see how much the next Call of Duty sells. The main reason why people may be buying Call of Duty: World at War is because you can easily mistake it for World of Wacraft. Get it? World at War (WaW) and World of Warcraft (WoW). Maybe a possible collaboration soon. Call of Duty: WoW anyone? It's a [bad] joke.

So, we all know how much i love Google, well i am sad to say that, today, i must reveal bad news. Google is shutting down. Okay, i'm joking. Wait, maybe not entirely. "Included among the upcoming closures are: Google Notebooks, Google Catalogs, Dodgeball, Google Video, Google Mashup Editor, and future development of Jaiku." Looks like a lot of things are going down-the-drain in the Google camp. I don't really know what Jaiku is, but Techcrunch mentions that it will be "ported to Google App Engine, and will be released as an open source project on Google Code." Yes. Well, i guess that refers to programmers, so that's not for me. The Mashup Editor will also be sucked into the Google App Engine's black hole. Dodgeball was something made by Google to allow users "to share their current locations using SMS messages." "Google Notebook will continue to function for current users, but will no longer accept new ones." But, whoever uses Google Notebook will have to do so, without the use of it's browser extension, "which makes the service significantly useful." Time to find a replacement for all of you that use that. Google Catalogs. Why did they even make this? Oh, well. The biggest news on this list is definitely the one about Google Video. In a few months, the uploading capabilities will be disabled. This should have actually been done a while ago, since Google already purchased the most popular video site, Youtube, just over 2 years ago. Techcrunch mentioned that if Google is going to shut down some of their programs, Knol might be up next. Knol was Google's attempt to take down Wikipedia, but it never happened / worked.


So, whether you like it or not, you will be getting a Windows 7 Review from me. That is, if all things go well. Lifehacker has provided me with the information in order to dual-boot my computer, so that i can use Windows XP and the new Windows 7, whenever i feel like it. Hopefully, my friend brings his burned Windows 7 ISO copy to school tomorrow, so that i can install it on my laptop during lunch. If i get it successfully installed, i will be using it starting Saturday. On Thursday, i will be studying for my Math test, which is on the next day (Friday). On Friday, i will be at my girlfriend's house for the majority of the night. That leaves me at Saturday, which will be the day i review Windows 7. Right now, i don't really know how i am supposed to 'review' it. But, i guess i will find out a way to. Anyways, until tomorrow, i'm out. By the way, only expect one blog post tomorrow.
