Telus Looking To Launch the HTC Desire On August 3rd?

It's unconfirmed right now but Telus could be planning to launch the Android-based HTC Desire on August 3rd. This is just 5 days away and will likely cost you $79.99 on a 3-year contract. The contract-free price is said to be around $450 so that's a pretty sweet deal if it's true. These are all rumours right now so we'll just have to wait.

I was in the store @ start of day today: no record of any shipments scheduled for android phones. The reps were personally awaiting the product, but it appears speculation was incorrect. They were hopeful about it being this week however.

That really sucks because I'm looking forward to this one as well! Maybe we'll get it later this week or in the next couple of weeks. This is something that Telus needs to get ASAP, but HTC did have to swap the displays so maybe that caused a delay of some sort.
