Cisco has just officially announced the Flip Slide HD, which is a couple of days late seeing how Best Buy is already selling these. This camcorder packs an HDMI output, 720p video recording capabilities (no image stabilization), 16GB of internal storage, and a 3-inch resistive touchscreen sliding display. Engadget points out that it's pretty pricey at $279.99, but they'll be reviewing it in a couple of days.

It looks like someone who lived around Roseville, California has just managed to buy the latest Cisco digital camcorder. The Best Buy in that area looks like they're already selling the Flip Slide HD for $279.99. This hasn't even been officially been announced by Cisco themselves, but now we know that it packs a headphone jack along with an HDMI port. Check out the video below - it's the first one shot with the Flip Slide HD.

Interested in a new camcorder at this very moment? Well, it's your lucky day because the JVC HD Everio GZ-HM400 is available and is now shipping in the US of A. This camcorder has: a 10.3MP sensor that will record Full HD resolution, 32GB of internal storage, an SD / SDHC card slot, and it can also take 9MP pictures. Fortunately, you'll also be able to record video in three slow-motion modes: at 120fps, at 300fps, and at 600fps. It uses AVCHD format, and I'm pretty sure that's a good thing.
This camcorder is now available for $999.95 USD.

Samsung HMX-H106 Camcorder With 64GB SSD and Full HD For $900 On May 22
It's a damn action-packed camcorder. The Samsung HMX-H106 is actually already shipping in Korea starting today. Amazon has the camcorder up for pre-orders now, so check it out if you like. The HMX-H106 is a pretty damn awesome camcorder, it has: a 64GB SSD, Full 1080p HD video recording capabilities, an SDHC slot, 10x optical zoom, a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan lens, and a 4.7MP still-shooting camera with a flash. It's a nice looking camcorder, but it'll set you back $900 USD. Here's the Amazon pre-order link again, if you're still interested.

This tiny camcorder is the Samsung HMX-R10 that shoots HD video and will be available in Korea in the near future. The camcorder is just 12.5cm long and 4cm wide (4.9 x 1.5-inches) and uses an SDHC card slot (up to 32GB support) to store 1,920 x 1,080 video or 9MP still photos. The camcorder has 5x optical zoom and also has an electronical image stabilizer cause, let's face it, your hand isn't that steady. The 2.7-inch LCD touchscreen will allow you to tap on a certain portion you'd like to focus on - you can use your thumb if you're good enough. The handheld is also capable of shooting slow-motion (which is becoming a necessity) at 60, 300, and even 600 fps. Amazon currently has the camcorder up for $500 USD with an expected May 15th release date.

Blackberry Ice Sculpture, Nokia's App Store, LG Arena KM900, Panasonic's HDC-HS300 HD Camcorder, Samsung NC10-11PBK

At Ottawa's Winterlude festival, some Canadians have sculpted an ice sculpture of a Blackberry. Gizmodo points out that it could be the Blackberry Curve 8900, but i don't know for sure. I do know that it looks amazing though.
It's about time that Nokia finally decides to release an app store. We all know about Apple's app store, but Blackberry, Palm and Samsung also have one, just in case you didn't know. Nokia should be announcing this app store at MWC and i find it surprising that they didn't already have something like this. Nokia holds the top spot, in terms of selling the most mobile handsets.
Remember the LG KM900 Arena? I pointed out that it looked a lot like the iPhone's UI, but it actually resembles Linux more than the iPhone. Since the Arena's UI will spin like a cube (uber 3D-ness) it is similar to Linux's desktop OS, which also has the 'cube'. It's amazing that LG has decided to go with a '3D' UI, but i feel like it is not needed. Unless it has some amazing features, i don't really see the need of making the UI 3D. It should be good for multi-tasking though, right?
Panasonic's new HDC-HS300 HD camcorder was one of the many camcorders featured at CES. But, the reviews are now out and they have nothing but good things to say about this wonderful camcorder. One critic mentioned that this "could be the best [consumer] camcorder released all year" and that it is "nothing short of stunning in virtually all conditions." This camcorder also has a touchscreen LCD (for your menu needs) and a microphone that can record 5.1 audio. It's sets itself apart from the crowd so much that critics mentioned that the VIXIA, from Canon, should look out for this camcorder.
The Samsung NC10 netbook looks like it will have a "special edition" model that will be released. With the special edition, this netbook will be able to run for 9.5 hours (like the Asus EEE PC), have a larger trackpad and a new glossy screen. The special edition NC10 will cost $50 USD more than the original, which is a good deal. This will bump the price to $500 USD. Say hello to the new "smudge-loving screen."
