NFS N-Pad Tablet Gets Spotted At IDF, Android With Atom Z6xx Moorestown CPU
IDF, like the other events that were held earlier this year, showcased a bunch of tablets and some of them were pretty unique. CarryPad spotted the tablet you see above at IDF 2010. While it may not be as interesting as the Dell Inspiron Duo, it's still something that you might want to take a look at. Dubbed the N-Pad by NFS, this tablet is running a next-gen Atom Z6xx CPU - part of the Moorestown line-up - and it's running an Android build. Sadly, that's all we know about it thus far and this may or may not be hitting the market so don't be surprised if it's not under your Christmas tree this year. There's a video below if you want to check it out.

This isn't the first time we heard about it but OpenPeak is showing off their 7-inch OpenTablet at IDF 2010 this year (I mean, right now). This tablet is scheduled to hit AT&T sometime in Q1 of next year so this is still quite distant into the future. However, the prototype being showcased was running stock Android 2.1 very smoothly. Fortunately the company will be shipping this with Android 2.2 "Froyo" but at that point it'll be running a custom UI so it won't be the stock build.
Specs include a capacitive touchscreen display, WiFi b/g/n support, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, a 5MP camera, and an Intel Moorestown CPU. Clock speed for this processor is unknown right now but Engadget believes it was possibly 1.9GHz. Official pricing is unknown right now but it could be $300 to $400 contract-free and subsidized on contract, of course.

Neofonie's WePad / WeTab MeeGo Tablet Hitting Europe On September 21st
If you're still interested in the Neofonie WeTab / WePad device then there's some good news for you. The launch date has been "confirmed" to be on Tuesday, September 21st. Hopefully, they've ironed out all of the issues at this point. This tablet sports an 11.6-inch display, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, WiFi / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, and the MeeGo (1.0) OS. The last time we heard about this tablet it would be hitting Europe for 449 euros ($598 USD) for the 16GB model and 569 euros ($757 USD) for the 32GB model.

Reminiscent of the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 prototype, this one's coming from Dell. Dubbed the Inspiron DUO, this device will be a tablet / netbook hybrid and it's being showcased at IDF 2010. This device sports a 10-inch touchscreen display (that you can flip around to use in tablet mode) and sports a dual-core Atom N550 CPU along with Windows 7 Premium. This tablet was seen on a roadmap that leaked earlier this year, codenamed the Sparta and it's now official! Dell has announced that this will be available later this year.
