7-Inch OpenPeak OpenTablet Spotted At IDF, Launching In Q1 2011 With Froyo

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

This isn't the first time we heard about it but OpenPeak is showing off their 7-inch OpenTablet at IDF 2010 this year (I mean, right now). This tablet is scheduled to hit AT&T sometime in Q1 of next year so this is still quite distant into the future. However, the prototype being showcased was running stock Android 2.1 very smoothly. Fortunately the company will be shipping this with Android 2.2 "Froyo" but at that point it'll be running a custom UI so it won't be the stock build.

Specs include a capacitive touchscreen display, WiFi b/g/n support, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, a 5MP camera, and an Intel Moorestown CPU. Clock speed for this processor is unknown right now but Engadget believes it was possibly 1.9GHz. Official pricing is unknown right now but it could be $300 to $400 contract-free and subsidized on contract, of course.
