Samsung Unveils A Couple of LED LCD HDTVs and Their Own 3D Plasma (C7000) HDTV

Labels: , , , , ,

Samsung has just announced a couple of new TVs at CES today. The 5000 Series of LED LCD TVs focus on consuming low power and DLNA support. The 6500 Series steps it up a little bit by using 120Hz technology and DLNA support. These TV will be launching in the first half of 2010. The even higher-end 7000 Series sports 240Hz technology, Samsung apps, and actually converts 2D into 3D in real-time - which seems to be the next big thing. The 8000 Series is LED edge-lit, has 240Hz technology, and also converts 2D into 3D in real time. The 9000 Series is also LED-backlit, has 3D support, has 240Hz technology, Samsung app support, and is as thin as a pencil. This TV is expected to launch in late 2010. Below is a picture of the slick Apple-like remote from Samsung as well.

Samsung didn't mention much about the TV you see below, but we do know that it's a 3D plasma TV. The Samsung C7000 sports a 1080p display and will, of course, convert your 2D content into 3D in real-time. It also comes equipped with built-in Ethernet connectivity and support for Samsung apps. The price for any of these TVs haven't been mentioned yet, but we'll hopefully know them soon.

I had heard about heard about the 3D TVs at the CES event, and how on some remotes you can also watch another show or sports game. I think that the Camera, Microphone, and Wi-Fi Features are also a great idea. This will take off to new places we have never thought possible before.
