Amazon Now Selling the Palm Pre for $199 Too, $499 Off-Contract

Labels: , ,

Just like the title says, the Palm Pre is now available on Amazon for as low as $199 USD on a new service plan. Yeah, no mail-in rebates here. If you're looking for the Pre without a contract, you can scoop one up on Amazon for $499 USD. In comparison, Sprint is selling the Pre off-contract for $549 USD and Best Buy is selling it for $749 USD. So, Amazon is basically the best choice for an off-contract deal. Unfortunately, it'll hit your doorstep in 4-6 weeks.

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

If you check out Verizon Wireless' official website, they've dropped almost all of their smartphone prices to $99 USD. Here's a timeline of some of their upcoming phones, if you're interested. The Touch Pro 2 looks like it'll be here sooner rather than later since the original Touch Pro dropped from $419 USD to $99 USD. The only smartphones over $99 USD now is the BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga. Let's hope the Samsung Rogue U960 is on the way. Like I said, check out Verizon Wireless' website for more information.

LG GM750 Layla Windows Phone / WinMo 6.5 Handset Revealed

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Just 5 days ago, the LG GM750 "Layla" passed the WiFi Alliance and now we have more news about it. The LG GM750 "Layla" has just been revealed as a Windows Phone / WinMo 6.5 handset. It has: a 5MP AF camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, WiFi, GPS, and LG's S-Class UI. The display is where there is some disagreement, some sites are saying a 400 x 240 resolution and others are saying an 800 x 480 resolution, so we can't confirm which one it will be. We'll just have to see when more news surfaces about this handset. It's expected to be released in Q3 of this year.
