3 New Apple 'Get a Mac' Ads
Apparently, during tonight's American Idol - that I did not watch because Allison was eliminated last week - Apple launched 3 new Get a Mac ads. It figures that they would launch this when I'm not watching, but whatever. They're kind of funny, but still wouldn't persuade me to buy one. Go check it out at Apple's official website.

Microsoft's New Ad States That A Zune Pass Is Cheaper Than iTunes; Zune Phone Announcement In June?
Microsoft's new Twitter account made for Office 2010 seems to be focused on the release of a new Microsoft product. It could possibly be the rumoured Zune phone - that Microsoft has consistently denied - since the tweet says, "New product launch, that's all I'm allowed to say. Hold off from buying an iPhone/Pre." The account also has another tweet that says, "June 2009 will be an important month for Zune lovers." Could this be a Zune phone or the Zune HD? We'll just have to see what Microsoft announces in June.

Palm and Sprint Announcing Palm Pre Availability In The Wall Street Journal On May 19
This is the latest rumour about the Palm Pre. Apparently, Sprint and Palm will make a big announcement in the Wall Street Journal on May 19 regarding, of course, the Palm Pre. It could finally be the announcement of the Palm Pre release date, which could be June 7, since everything is lined up to be on that date. I'll have the news for you in a week, even though I don't read the WSJ.

Modern Warfare 2 Teaser; More On May 24
Above is a teaser of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game. The clip is actually extremely short - only 17 seconds - so it's definitely just a teaser. It looks pretty promising though. It looks like we'll see more Modern Warfare 2 on May 24, so be on the lookout.

Microsoft Confirms Windows 7 Before The Holiday Season
Veghte cited the combined benefits of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 as an ideal example of delivering business efficiencies and cost savings through technology. Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 include security, reliability and productivity enhancements, which, when used together, help deliver significant cost savings and productivity gains with features such as DirectAccess and BranchCache. As recently announced, Windows 7 RC is available for public download at http://www.windows.com/windows7.
Several other announcements were made during Veghte's keynote speech that illustrate how Microsoft's products and technologies help customers and partners reduce costs and drive efficiencies. The company provided guidance on how businesses can achieve enterprise-level scale, performance and capability without enterprise-level costs through Windows Server 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5. A recent Microsoft study - conducted using publicly available testing applications based upon industry best practices - shows customers can save up to 81 percent in total system costs by running applications on .NET 3.5 and Windows Server 2008 rather than on IBM WebSphere 7 on Power6/AIX. According to the study, customers who run their IBM WebSphere 7 applications on Windows Server and Intel Xeon 5400 processor-based HP BladeSystem servers can save up to 66 percent in total system costs when compared to running the same applications on IBM WebSphere 7 on a Power6/AIX platform. The full report can be reviewed at http://www.websphereloveswindows.com.

More Possible iPhone Specs Leaked
According to a Chinese forum, the latest rumour is that the next iPhone will have a 600MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus, a digital compass, and an FM radio. This will also be followed up with the same battery, "basic shape", and screen size. This recent leak of the next iPhone with FM radio really does shock me, but it doesn't really matter if it's missing. I don't listen to the radio anyway. Keep in mind that these specs haven't been confirmed yet, so take it all with a grain of salt. We'll see what happens, WWDC is almost here.
