If you've been waiting for the Toshiba Libretto W100 dual-screen laptop / tablet and you live in the US then your wait is over. You can now get the device on Toshiba's website or on Amazon for $1,099.99. For that price you'll be getting a unique design and inside you'll find: dual 7-inch WSVGA touchscreen displays, an Intel Pentium U5400 CPU, integrated Intel HD graphics, a memory card reader, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 62GB SSD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, an integrated webcam, an 8-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit). If you order one now (on Toshiba's site) you should be playing with yours in 2 to 3 weeks.

Toshiba showed off the Libretto W100 dual-screen tablet / notebook in mid-June and it's going to be hitting you in a near future... if you live in Japan that is. Toshiba has announced that this device will be available in Japan next week, on August 11th, but the price wasn't mentioned. Of course, it should be hitting the US as well but we don't know exactly when. Unfortunately, this device doesn't come cheap because it's said that this tablet will be coming to the US for $1,100.

As expected, Toshiba has introduced their Libretto W100 UMPC which is sporting two 7-inch touchscreen displays (with a 1,024 x 600 resolution). This is looking like it could have some potential but we'll just have to wait and see how well it performs. Sadly, it'll be priced at $1,099 which isn't in a lot of people's budget. Anyways, the rest of the specs include an Intel Pentium U5400 1.2GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD, and Windows 7 Home Premium. This will be hitting the market in the next few months so let's see what happens until then. Check out the correct Engadget link below for their thoughts on the UMPC.

Toshiba has also unveiled their latest 13.3-inch notebook, dubbed the Portege R700. Inside you'll find Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options and up to 4GB of RAM. The $899 model will be sporting a Core i3 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, and a blue Best Buy colour. There'll be a $1,299 model as well and it'll sport a Core i5 CPU along with a 320GB (7,200 rpm) HDD. The more expensive $1,599 model will be sporting a Core i7 CPU and a 128GB SSD. These are available and will be shipping asap if you want to scoop one up.
