If you're somehow still interested in Fusion Garage's Joojoo tablet then you can now get one if you live in Europe or Canada. This tablet didn't get a lot of customers in the US so they're looking to see if any Canadians are Europeans want to get their hands on them. It's priced at $499 CAD with free shipping or for €359 ($473 USD) if you live in Europe along with €13 ($17 USD) shipping fees. Fusion Garage is promising that they'll have a firmware update for this tablet in the very near future. Go and order one here if you want.

If you pre-ordered your Fusion Garage Joojoo then the good news is that the tablet is now shipping! You should get your Joojoo by March 29th if everything works out. This tablet is a pretty good competitor to the iPad - at least on paper - but the iPad will definitely sell more units. Unfortunately, the battery life on this isn't expected to last all that long, so it's up to you if you want to spend your hard-earned $500.

A new tablet has just been spotted at the FCC and it's the Joojoo tablet from Fusion Garage. Formerly the CrunchPad, this tablet has just been scoped out and the specs have been spotted. It's rocking an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, Nvidia Ion graphics, and what appears to be integrated 3G connectivity. Sadly, the iPad appears to have it beat in the battery life department because the Joojoo will reportedly only last 5 hours.

Fusion Garage has delayed their Joojoo tablet about a month now and it looks like they've tweaked the UI a bit in the meantime which is great news. Flash support is also improved and is now "fully-working" and the tablet can play H.264 videos. They also changed the back plate from black to a new "champagne-like" hue. The pre-orders are still pegged at $499.

The Joojoo (formerly the CrunchPad) has been slightly delayed by Fusion Garage. They have just mentioned that if you ordered this tablet already you should be expecting it on March 25th. The reason for the delay is because of a problem with the touchscreen display. You'll also be getting a free accessory since it's getting delayed!

Finally! It looks like the Crunchpad, erm, the Joojoo tablet is set to launch since it's now in full production. Unlike the iPad, this tablet will have full Flash support. Time to watch Avatar on a 16:9 display with 720p resolution. It's not HD, but it's better than 4:3 - for watching movies at least.

Fusion Garage Launching the CrunchPad as the JooJoo For $500 On December 11th

Unix
This right here is the CrunchPad, but it'll be launched by Fusion Garage as the JooJoo. Awkward name I know, but you're more interested to know what's inside, aren't you? Well, it'll be sporting a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 4GB SSD, a battery life of around 5 hours, and a UNIX-based OS which can boot in around 9 seconds. This tablet weighs 2.4 pounds and has some decent specs.
The good news here is that the CrunchPad isn't dead, but the $500 asking price is definitely killing our lust for it. The pre-orders start this Friday, December 11th, but I don't believe they'll be selling out.
