Yes, I'm going to make this one long post of all of the iPods that Apple announced at their event today. First up, we have the new iPod Shuffle. The 2GB model will now go for $59 and the 4GB model will be available for just $79. They also added in a new Special Edition stainless steel model which is $99 for 4GB of storage. The iPod Shuffles are now available in pink, green, and blue models as well.
There were big rumours about the iPod Touch gaining a camera, but that turned out to be false. There is no camera on the new iPod Touches and that's definitely a sad thing for those who were looking forward to it. Nothing entirely too big here, basically. They announced a $199 8GB model, a $299 32GB model, and a $399 64GB model, which is seen above. The look is still the same, and I now hate it because it's been around for too long. Although there is no camera, the CPU did get an upgrade, the 64GB model is said to be "50% faster" and it supports OpenGL, which should make gaming even better.
Apple went on to announce a new iPod Classic that has 160GB of internal storage. Even though the storage was bumped up 40GB, it has the exact same dimensions as the old 120GB model. It's now available for $249.
Last, but definitely not least, it's the new iPod Nanos. These were definitely my favourite iPod announcement. Unlike the iPod Touches, the iPod Nanos do have a camera. The new iPod Nano has: a 2.2-inch display with a 240 x 376 resolution, an FM tuner, a microphone, a speaker, and VGA @ 30fps recording abilities. The dimensions are the exact same as the last Nano but it weighs 1.28 ounces, which is 0.02 ounces lighter than the last model. "Apple claims that the new nano can last up to 24 hours when playing back audio, while video playback should zap the rechargeable battery in just five hours." These Nanos are now available for $149 for the 8GB model and $179 for the 16GB model.

If these price rumours are true, it will definitely stomp the sales of the Zune HD.
There is also another rumour floating around. The other rumour is that the camera-equipped iPods could be delayed. For more information on both topics, just check out the links below. In related news, Apple's event is set to take place in two days, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

In case you still don't believe that the iPod Touch, Nano, and Classic will not feature a camera - or cameras - according to a couple of sources Apple is currently running out of stock of their current iPods. What does this mean? Well, a refresh of iPods, of course. Look out for it on September 9th.

Windows Mobile 7 [Or 6.5] Pictures, Samsung Acme i8910, Nokia E75, Upgrading Your iPod To 240GB

"Mary Jo Foley's saying that we'll see Windows Mobile 6.5 devices in September of this year, and confirms that Windows Mobile 7 will be seen on devices in 2010." So, looks like Motorola's Sanjay Jha was correct about his estimation (here). This picture could be what WinMo 7 will look like, but it is not confirmed yet. Apparently, we will see the first Windows Mobile 7 phone in April of next year. It is also said that Windows Mobile 7 will be released earlier than the typical schedule. I think this could be due to the fact that more and more companies are starting to drift away from WinMo (as a whole) like Motorola is doing. Motorola did mention that they will go back to using WinMo when it upgrades to 6.5 or 7.
Another leak from Samsung. On the left side, you will see a picture of the Samsung i8910 or the 'Acme.' Engadget points out that it looks "a bit like the Omnia." This could be that 12MP phone that we heard about recently (here). The specs of this phone are also similar to the Omnia, including: "GPS, HDMI output, WiFi, plenty of media features, and availability in 8 and 16GB flavors." Since the OS is also unknown, this could also run on the same OS as the Omnia, which is the terrible WinMo 6.1. It might even run on WinMo 6.5, so we'll just have to see at MWC.
The Nokia E75 has resurfaced from the water. Like the Samsung i8910 Acme, we'll probably see it at MWC, since this phone has been leaking its photos for a while now. Along with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard and the 2.4 inch screen, you will also get: a 3.2MP camera with an LED flash, Wi-Fi and HSDPA capabilities. It will run on Symbian S60 of course. Thankfully, no Windows Mobile 6.1 here.
Do you have an iPod Video? Do you also get tired of trying to cram in all of your videos on whatever gigabytes of storage you have? If you said yes to both questions, this could be the solution for you. For $295 USD you can send your iPod Video to Rapid Repair so that you can have 240GB of storage. By doing this operation, they will use a Toshiba 240GB hard drive. Rapid Repair also mentions that they want to do this same operation to the iPod Classic and the Zune 2G.
