HTC EVO Shift 3G (Speedy / Knight) Pictured Again, This Time Shows Us the QWERTY Keyboard

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

What you see above is a picture of the HTC Evo Shift 4G (or the Knight or the Speedy). This time we finally get a look at the slide-out QWERTY keyboard of it and it definitely looks like a modification of the Touch Pro 2 which is great news! It looks very easy to type on and even throws in a trackpad in the bottom right corner so that you'll be able to edit whatever you type in case you made a mistake. Rumoured specs are said to be an 8MP camera with 720p HD video recording, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch LCD WVGA display, Android 2.2 "Froyo", and WiMAX connectivity since it's hitting Sprint.

Coming from HTCPedia is the image you see above and it's the Sprint-bound HTC Speedy / Knight pictured in some sort of coloured casings. This smartphone will reportedly feature WiMAX (4G) capabilities along with a 3.7-inch display and a slide-out (landscape) QWERTY keyboard. There's no word on what version of Android this will be running but it'll likely be Froyo (2.2) with the Sense UI. This will be launching in early 2011 if you're interested.

HTC Knight (Or Speedy) Said To Be Making Its Way To Sprint, Rumoured Specs Date Back To August

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

There's a new rumour going around that there's a new HTC handset headed to Sprint USA. Apparently, it's being dubbed the HTC Knight - at least for now - and will also feature a sliding mechanism so there might be a physical QWERTY keyboard on this one. This handset is said to be running Android and will be "released" or possibly just unveiled in two weeks time.

Update: According to Boy Genius, the HTC Knight will actually be called the HTC Speedy when it launches. If that's the case, then that means we heard about this phone way back in August. Rumoured specs include a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, the new 800MHz Qualcomm CPU, a 5MP camera with a flash, 386MB of RAM, and Android 2.2 "Froyo". The screenshot below says that a case will actually launch on January 6th, which is actually the first day of CES 2011.
