HP Pavilion dm4x Now On Sale With Core i5 CPU For $729

Labels: , , ,

HP has just released their latest notebook, the Pavilion dm4x, with Intel's "Sandy Bridge" CPUs. This 14-inch notebook features an Intel Core i5-2410M 2.3GHz CPU in the base model. This one starts at $729 and also features AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics, 6GB of RAM, a 640GB HDD, and a 6-cell battery which is actually pretty good. I doubt that the battery life is any good though. If you're willing to spend more money then there's a Core i7 model waiting for you as well. Check it out on HP.

HP has just released a bunch of their lately refreshed notebooks. This includes what's pictured above, the Envy 17, and the dm4, dv5, dv6, and dv7 notebooks. The dv6 is the cheapest one at $699 with the rest costing a bit more. The Envy 17 has a base price of $1,399 (here) and that's sporting an Intel Core i5 CPU.

HP didn't stop there though. They have also released their 14-inch G42t notebook which has Core i3 / i5 CPU options. Along with that, the display sports a 1,366 x 768 resolution and inside you'll find up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB HDD (up to 640GB), WiFi / optional Bluetooth support, integrated Intel graphics, an integrated webcam, a SuperMulti DVD burner (you can get a Blu-ray drive if you want), and a 6-cell battery. Thankfully, the base price for this notebook is just $549.99 so maybe you'll want to take a look at it (right here).

HP Updates Their Pavilion Line-Up; AMD / Intel CPUs and Touchscreens Coming On May 19th

HP hasn't stopped just yet. They updated their 14.5-inch Pavilion 15.6-inch dv5, dv6, and 17.3-inch dv7 (above) notebooks. They all have a new aluminum body which looks quite sexy and it's accompanied with AMD's new dual and quad-core CPU options - the dual-core 2.8GHz Phenom II N620 for example. The dv5 has support for up to 1TB of HDD storage, but there's nothing else too exciting in there. The dv6 sports a touchscreen display and packs up to 1TB of HDD storage, while the dv7 has up to 2TB of HDD Storage and discrete ATI Radeon graphics that support Crossfire and "Beats-processed audio that includes a subwoofer." This Pavilion refresh will come on May 19th and the dv5 and dv6 notebooks will be going for $650, the dv7 will cost you $800.

They didn't stop there. They've updated their 14-inch Pavilion dm4 as well and it now has support for full-power Intel CPUs as well as up to a 640GB HDD, and discrete ATI Mobility Radeon graphics. HP decided to rip out the optical drive so it's now under an inch thick and weighs 4.4 pounds. This one will cost you $730 and will also be available on the 19th.

HP Envy 14, Envy 17, and Pavilion dm4 Notebooks Confirmed? Launching Soon?

Labels: , , , ,

Way back in December there was a leak that stated that HP was prepping an Envy 14 and an Envy 17 and now we're seeing some more documents that confirm that HP is indeed working on these two new models. Unfortunately, the document never mentioned any specs or a release date, but it'll likely launch with Core i5 / i7 options. That's not all though, they're also reportedly working on a Pavilion dm4. This notebook will reportedly be packing a 14-inch display, an optical drive, Intel / AMD CPU options, switchable graphics, and a price somewhere in the range of $650 to $850.
