HP's Slate 500 may have failed but it looks like they've decided to refresh it anyway. They've introduced the Slate 2 which will cost you $699 if you're interested. This one features an 8.9-inch N-Trig display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, a 64GB SSD, stylus support, Swype, Windows 7, and an Intel Atom Oak Trail Z670 CPU. Battery life's pegged for 6 hours which is decent and there's obviously a Bluetooth keyboard dock if you need it. This tablet should be available later this month if you honestly want it.
