Toshiba Explodes With a Number of Notebooks, Every Variety Imaginable

Labels: , , ,

Toshiba has unveiled a bunch of notebooks today - right in the middle of E3 - and we'll start with the Satellite A665 and the M645. First up is the A665, which sports a 15.6-inch 3D display, an Intel Core i7-740QM CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTS 350M graphics, a 640GB HDD, a 640GB HDD, and a Blu-ray drive (with 3D capabilities). This model will cost you $1,599 if you want - and you'll get a pair of 3D glasses with your purchase. The base model doesn't have 3D capabilities but does feature Intel Core 2010 CPU options; it's priced at $799. The M645 (pictured above) is a 14-inch notebook that has Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / AMD Phenom II quad-core CPU options, GeForce 310M / GT330M graphics, Nvidia's Optimus technology, a Blu-ray drive, and a bunch of HDD options. Both of these notebooks have a new design that features a chiclet keyboard as well as a glossy / matte coating which they're calling the Fusion X2. The M645 notebook starts at $729.99, which is a bit cheaper than the A665.

Update: Engadget (as of June 21st) has just mentioned that the A665 notebook is now available with a Core i7 CPU along with 3D capabilities. You'll be able to get it right now (here) for $1,599.99 - thankfully there's free shipping!

More notebooks from Toshiba and this is the Satellite T215 and T235. The T215 is sporting an 11.6-inch display, single / dual-core AMD Athlon II Neo CPU options, a 320GB HDD, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and integrated ATI graphics. The T235 notebook sports a larger 13.3-inch display, AMD Turion II Neo / Intel Pentium dual-core CPU options, a 320GB HDD, and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Both of these notebooks sport HDMI outputs and a webcam as well; they'll be available on June 20th and the base model will cost you $469.99.

The last batch of notebooks that Toshiba introduced is the 14-inch C645, 15.6-inch C655, 13-inch L635, 14-inch L645, and 17.3-inch L675. The C600 Series notebooks will be sporting Intel / AMD CPU options, while the L600 Series notebooks will have Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / AMD Athlon II / Turion II / Phenom II triple / quad-core CPU options. The C600 Series is sporting 250GB / 320GB HDD options, DDR3 RAM, WiFi b/g/n, and a DVD burner. These will run you $449.99 for the base model. The L600 Series is sporting 250GB to 500GB HDD options, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, WiFi b/g/n, and a DVD drive. In order, they'll run you $619.99, $519.99, $569.99, and $599.99. Yes, the 13-inch model will cost the most because they have to cramp everything inside of it and you're paying for portability and slightly more battery life. All of these notebooks will be available on June 20th as well.
