According to Boy Genius' source, Apple has a 100% chance of unveiling a 7-inch tablet in January 2010. The release date will follow in the coming months (hopefully by the end of 2010). If this is true, it will go directly head to head with the 7-inch ICD Ultra tablet that will be rocking Nvidia Tegra 2 graphics and Android. It'll also meet up with the Asus Eee Pad which could also be a 7-inch tablet that could feature the Nvidia Tegra 2 graphics as well. It's all rumours at this point, but sooner or later Apple will release this damn tablet.

Thanks to Engadget, we now have the complete spec sheet for the upcoming Google Nexus One. We're also hearing that this device will go on sale starting on January 5th, but it'll be invite only at the beginning. The Nexus One features: a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, 512MB of ROM / RAM, a microSD card slot (4GB in box), a Qualcomm QSD8250 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / aGPS support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1,400 mAh battery, and Android 2.1. Viliv Introducing S10 Netbook and 4.8-Inch N5 MID At CES 2010
We now know that Viliv will be announcing and unveiling two more products. First up is the somewhat exciting 10-inch netbook, the Viliv S10. It'll likely have standard netbook specs with Intel's N450 Atom CPU, so it won't do much to stand out from the crowd - unless it's got a cheap price.
The one we're more interested in is the Viliv N5 which is a 4.8-inch MID, and is pictured above. This MID will reportedly feature: a 1,024 x 600 resolution (possibly touchscreen), a QWERTY keyboard, WiFi / 3G / GPS support, and hopefully a lengthy battery life. Let's hope there's enough room for an SSD and an Intel Atom CPU in there.

This is an interesting concept / goal. OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) has just shown off their concept, called the XO-2. It's a pretty interesting one since it's a $100 tablet. This tablet will utilize a Pixel Qi touchscreen (8.5 x 11) display and is waterproof. The specs are unknown, of course, since it's just a concept. Unfortunately, the expected release date for this tablet will be sometime in 2012 - if it comes to life at all.

The same people that are offering the £299,999 Wii "Supreme" are now offering the PS3 Gold "Surpreme." This is a traditional PlayStation 3 (not the Slim model) draped in 22-carat gold and diamonds. There's only 3 right now, so if you're willing to spend £199,995 ($319,104 USD) then go and get one quickly. Fortunately, it's much cheaper than the Wii "Supreme." Check it out here.

Acer Aspire 1420P Spotted On Acer's Website; Aspire 1820PTZ Goes On Sale Early In Singapore

It looks like two new netbook tablets from Acer have found their way into the news today. First up it's the Acer Aspire 1420P, which isn't on sale yet but it should be soon since it was just spotted on Acer's product pages. It's got: an 11.6-inch multi-touchscreen (rotatable) display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Celeron dual-core SU2300 1.2GHz CPU, integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, an Ethernet port, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth support, a 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. There's a couple of things wrong with this. A 64-bit Windows 7 OS on a netbook tablet with only 2GB of RAM, why? And, we're hearing that the CPU will get replaced in Q2 2010, so that's not great news.
Along with this news it looks like the Acer Aspire 1820PTZ netbook tablet is now on sale somewhere in Singapore. The price - I believe - wasn't mentioned, but some random guy did give a review of the netbook tablet. The mini-review is below, courtesy of Netbooked. Apparently though, it's not that great.

The price - I believe - wasn't mentioned, but some random guy did give a review of the netbook tablet. The mini-review is below, courtesy of Netbooked. Apparently though, it's not that great.
- Device feels heavier than any 11.6-inch notebook and the thickness and weight of the screen can make the whole machine fall over (only when the screen is tilted way back though)
- The pressure sensitive screen supports finger and stylus input, however navigating by finger seems less responsive and friction on the screen surface made finger swipes and movement uncomfortable. Switching to finger print input mode improved responsiveness though.
- Pen mode enables palm rejection and he had no problems writing with parts of his hand on the screen and Microsoft’s software did a good job of recognizing his handwritten letters.
- The accelerometer provides auto rotation of the screen depending on the mode but it takes 1-3 seconds depending on how many programs you have open which is “still bearable”.
- Sound was tinny and soft, however there’s S/PDIF output to save you
- Warranty seals on the back (you won’t get this in the US)
- 720p / 1080p played well but he seemed to have problems getting smooth playback using shaders (don’t know what he’s doing there).
- He hasn’t done any tests on battery life but he is guessing 7-8 hours with it’s 6-cell 5600mAh / 63Wh battery. I would say a couple of hours less.
- Heat is a non-issue

According to various "insider" rumours, the next-gen iPhone will be getting a 5MP camera. This isn't all that surprising, and it would definitely be a good step-up. Apple seems to be ordering a bunch of the sensrs from OmniVision. To keep the rumour going a little bit longer, this sensor can reportedly handle 1080p video quality, but we'll see if Apple capitalizes on that.

LG, Sprint, and Microsoft Teaming Up For WiMAX Phone Unveiling At CES 2010
Note the picture above won't be what LG will be unveiling at CES 2010. Yesterday we heard that LG and Sprint would be teaming up to unveil a "stylish" new phone at CES. The news is here is that it may actually not be the LG Lotus 2, but it could be a WiMAX phone from LG - launching on Sprint of course. Since Microsoft is involved in this, it'll be a Windows Mobile 6.5-powered device. Nothing's confirmed right now, since this is just speculation / a rumour. We're excited though.

We're all expecting it to hit netbooks this year and it looks like the wait is almost over. Nvidia has just mentioned that Ion 2 will be coming in Q1 2010 and, of course, it'll be capable with Intel's new Pine Trail line-up of Atoms. It'll also conserve battery life longer than the first Ion, which isn't surprising. Nvidia will do the big unveiling at CES 2010, and I'm sure we'll see it in action.
