MWC: Sony Ericsson Press Conference and Samsung Memoir
According to Engadget's live blog, they just announced the Sony Ericsson W995 and i guess it's impressive for a Walkman phone.
Since this post is so short, i figured that i might as well talk about the Samsung Memoir. It will, in fact, be hitting US on February 25th, just like my old post said. This phone has a full touchscreen and an 8MP camera with a xenon flash. More specs are listed at the link, if you really want to go check it out. It'll be interesting to see how good the Idou will do running Symbian and thankfully, not Windows Mobile.
I am going to finish my Poem for English today and also my Physics homework, so that i won't have to do it tomorrow. Tomorrow will be MWC-filled.

Sony Ericsson: Idou, W995 Walkman
Since i can't find an MWC 2009 live stream and Sony Ericcson's press conference has already started, i'll be constantly refreshing Engadget's live blog of MWC here.
The Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman phone also slipped out early. This is the Hikaru that was announced a couple of days ago. It will have an 8.1MP camera, GPS, Google Maps, WiFi, 118MB of built-in memory plus an 8GB card. The screen is also scratch resistant. Nothing too new here, but the camera is definitely a plus.
Anyways, i'm constantly refreshing Engadget's live blog of Sony Ericsson's press conference, so i'm gonna focus on that now. They actually just officially unveiled the W995.

Syphon Filter For PS3?, The Simpsons In HD, Sony Ericsson Reese, SmartQ 5 PMP
There is a rumour going around that there is production for a new Syphon Filter for the PS3. Why? Because Sony Bend, the makers of all the Syphon Filter titles, currently have a help-wanted ad for a full-game tools programmer with "PS3 or Xbox 360 experience." This could mean that a new Syphon Filter game could be coming out for both consoles or it could just mean a new game altogether. Another hint to a new Syphon Filter coming out is "an entry on the Credits page of digital creation company PCB Productions. About a quarter of the way down the page, the company acknowledges their mo-cap work for Syphon Filter 5, a PS3 title coming out of, you guessed it, Sony Bend." Hmm, it'll be interesting to see what transpires from this.
Just in case you watch The Simpsons, tonight will be the first time it will be broadcasted in true HD. The intro will be bigger and longer (that's what she said) according to FOX, so look out for that tonight. I'll most likely be watching the NBA All-Star Game tonight, but i might give the intro a look. You can actually watch the intro on Gizmodo here, via Youtube.
This PMP you see here is the SmartQ 5 PMP and it looks like it will be going head-to-head with the Cowon P5. The P5 actually has a bigger screen than the 4.3-inch screen that the SmartQ 5 has. But, "the two devices share the same 800x480 resolution. Both devices also come standard with wifi, Bluetooth, GPS via USB and all the other little PMP features we expect today, like touchscreens." Both devices also don't have 3G and that is surprising. Anyways, the SmartQ5 PMP will probably drop their PMP at a price lower than the P5. Nice plan.
