Some big Android rumours have been popping up online, right now there's 3 of them. Apparently, Sprint is looking to launch their first 4G (WiMAX) handset and it could be running Android - and possibly coming from Samsung? Another rumour is that "Eclair", which is the codename for Android OS 2.0, isn't expected to launch until Q1 2010, so it's quite a ways away. The last rumour is that INQ is currently trying to work out a deal with a carrier so that they can launch their handsets on there. Their Android handset will be coming in 2010 with their own customized UI with social networking integration, of course. Other Android rumours are disappointing though: no Android handset from LG this year, no TomTom (GPS) app this year for Android, and "no standalone Google Maps navigation software."
Update: Seeing as the Eclair is now on display at the Googleplex I highly doubt that we'll see a Q2 2010 launch. I'm telling you to expect it this year.
