Samsung I6410 and Protector I8320 To Run on Samsung's Own Linux-Based OS

Labels: , , , ,

Last week, we heard that Samsung will be launching their own Linux-based OS. Well, one new phone has just been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG. The picture above is the Samsung I6410 and the design description specifically states that it this is a "Linux based touch pad based multi functional smart phone."

This exact same description was also spotted on the Samsung Protector I8320 that passed the Bluetooth SIG two weeks ago. Could these be the first two handsets to use Samsung's own Linux-based OS? We'll just have to wait and see. Expect their new OS to be available in early 2010.
