Averatec has just released their latest 13-inch notebook offering, the N3400. This notebook has an aluminum shell and still manages to be one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks in its class. It is only 0.98-inches at its thickest point and weighs only 3.8-pounds. They managed to do this by "bundling a USB-based external DVD burner instead of adding weight to the system's insides."
The Averatec N3400 notebooks has: a 13-inch display, a 2.16 Pentium dual-core CPU, Intel's GMA 4500 graphics, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth, and a 1.3MP webcam. It's now available on TriGem for just $799 USD.
