Samsung has just announced that the
Samsung Jet has received 2 million pre-orders. This is amazing, seeing how this morning Apple just announced that it had sold 1 million iPhone 3GS's. Keep in mind though, that the Jet was launched to 50 countries, while the iPhone 3GS was only available in 8 countries. Anyways, this is the first time Samsung broke the 2 million mark with one of their handsets. Their next closest handset was the
UltraTOUCH which nabbed 1.8 million pre-orders. Their rival, LG, sold 2 million
LG Arena's after a month, so Samsung looks like it may have the upper-hand here. The Samsung Jet's best specs are its: 800 MHz CPU, 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with an 800 x 480 resolution, and a 5MP camera that's also able to record video at 480p.
Definitely a pretty amazing phone, for the time being. Congratulations Samsung!
