More Supposed iPhone Specs Leak Out Again
The next iPhone that will, of course, be announced at this year's WWDC has gone through many, many rumours. According to the latest rumour, the new iPhone will be available on July 17th. For a full spec sheet, take a look below, courtesy of Boy Genius.
32GB and 16GB storage
$199 and $299 price points to be maintained
3.2-megapixel camera
Video-recording and editing capabilities
Ability to send a picture & video via MMS
Discontinuation of the metal band surrounding the edge of the device
OLED screen
1.5 times the battery life of the current models
Double the RAM and processing power
Built-in FM transmitter
Apple logo on back will glow [please let this be a joke]
Rubber-tread backing
Sleeker design
Built-in compass
The camera, GPS, compass and Google map combined will identify photo and inform about photo locations
Turn-by-turn directions
These specs line up a bit with the rumours that we heard a week ago, so it could be somewhat accurate. The upgraded camera is a no-brainer, and so is the battery life. The OLED screen though, is a shocker to me, but it would definitely be a very good addition for the next iPhone. The RAM and processing power upgrade is also definitely welcomed. The next iPhone is said to basically have the exact same shape as the iPhone 3G, so don't expect anything too different. Don't forget, the rumoured release date is July 17, we'll see if that holds true in the future.
