Man Dies Playing Wii Fit; Confirms It Is A Dangerous Game

Labels: , ,

After Nicole Cahill used the Wii Fit to walk again after being paralyzed, people though that the Wii was miraculous - okay I made that last part up. Tim Eves, "a 25-year-old scoutmaster and fisherman from Yarmouth, Norfolk in the UK, died while running in place on the Wii Fit." Apparently, he could have died doing almost thing because he died of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, but since he died using the Wii, it makes it a terrible console to own. I'm just kidding around and I know I shouldn't be, but I dislike the Wii so I'm going to be a bit biased. He is going to be missed and his family mentioned that, "We all love him so much." It's a sad, sad day for the Eves family, I send my condolences.

My 100th Post: Celebrated With Megan Fox, Health Potions, Hacking Road Signs, Nintendo Wii News

Labels: , , , , ,

As the title says, this is my 100th blog post. My 100th blog post achieved in only 49 days of work. I've put quite a bit of work into this. Anyways, i've gotten just over 650 views, which is pretty good, i think. Anyways, let's get down to it. This post won't be too tech-related. Let's take a break from that for a bit.

I don't know whether this is confirmed or if it is a rumour, but this article mentions that Megan Fox will be replacing Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. You may know Megan Fox as the star in Transformers. Yes, she was the star because it definitely was not Shia LaBeouf. Anyways, the Tomb Raider series has made about $400 million from their 2 previous movies: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Cradle of Life. I even added a picture for you, just incase you forgot what Megan Fox looks like. This picture is from FHM magazine. It will be good to see her in more and more movies because this is something i may actually leave the house for. Although i have not seen any of the other Tomb Raider movies, this one may be worth watching. I'll admit that Angelina Jolie did do a good job or playing Tomb Raider, but she needs to move aside, for Megan Fox. That is only judging on the short clips i've seen. Let's move along.

Have you ever wanted to drink a health potion or mana potion IRL (in real life)? I don't know about you, but I sure would love to. If you want to join me in a nerd-fest, we can now keep our HP (Health Points)up, thanks to Harcos Inc. They are releasing a red Health Energy Potion and a blue Mana Energy Potion. The "not magically delicious" potions will give a gamer "eight hours of energy, elderberry, ginseng, biotin and folic acid, and as much caffeine as two cans of Red Bull." Dan Amrich chugged down some Mana Potion and mentioned that "you can really taste the B12." The health potion may taste a bit better because it will have an apple cinnamon flavour, which may take the B12 taste away. On second thought, maybe i'll pass on chugging these Potions down.

Just incase you are ever bored with a couple of friends, i will tell you how easily hack a road sign, courtesy of Gizmodo. The road signs control pads are in a lock box, but (in America, at least) the box is rarely ever locked. Adding to that, they are usually password protected. Stupidly enough, they also don't change the default password, which is "DOTS." If this is not the password, then you can easily reset the password "by holding 'shift' and 'control' while typing 'DIPY.'" This will reset the password to "DOTS," again. You can give it a try if you want, but you will probably end up getting caught and wind up in some trouble.

Here is some Nintendo Wii news for you now. First off, i will talk about Riiflex Wiimote weights. Just when you thought injuries were bad enough, these probably will cause even more damage. You can snap on these lame-o looking weights onto your Wii controller. They come in "2- and 5-pound increments." The Nintendo Wii will officially become the workout gym of your home because who needs a Bowflex anyway? Who knows how much damage this will do if a 5-pound Wii controller smacks someone in the face. A couple of stitches maybe. But, off to the hospital they go. If one of these Riiflex Wiimotes causes you to be paralyzed, it's okay because the Nintendo Wii also has the fix for that. This will bring me into my second topic, which is about a young girl who is paralyzed but may be able to walk by the end of 2009, thanks to the Wii Fit. Repotedly, she "has been making remarkable progress." This girl, Nicole Cahill "was able to take her first steps in four years late in 2008." Her mother states that "it's great because there are so many balancing and stretching exercises on it." A remarkable story that somewhat makes up for all the injuries the Wii has caused.
