Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Netbook Hits the FCC With WiMAX

As expected, the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e has just hit the FCC with integrated WiMAX capabilities - thanks to the Intel 622ANXHMW card. This netbook is still sporting the same old AMD-based specs so you won't find anything else too surprising inside.

Lenovo To Ship Atom N450 Model of the ThinkPad x100e In the Future

It looks like the ThinkPad x100e will be getting an Intel Atom cousin if Lenovo's own website is to be believed. It'll likely have the same spec sheet as the current ThinkPad x100e but it'll feature an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU. The availability and the pricing hasn't been mentioned for this upcoming model but we should know it in a couple of weeks or so.

Lenovo Makes the Thinkpad x100e Netbook Official, AMD Guts

And it's now official. Lenovo has just announced the upcoming Thinkpad x100e netbook. Unlike most of the netbooks that we see nowadays this will actually be running on an AMD CPU with ATI's graphics. The basic single-core model should be available as soon as the next couple of days, but the dual-core CPU variant will be coming later this quarter. The specs are below, courtesy of Netbooked.

Update: As of April 6th, Netbooked has pointed out that the AMD dual-core CPU options (Athlon Neo X2 L335 1.6GHz and the Turion Neo X2 L625 1.6GHz) are now available. Check them out here.

It looks like that mysterious Lenovo netbook that has popped up twice has been found online again. This time it's named the ThinkPad x100e (not the x200e) and has typical netbook specs. The specs are below, courtesy of Chip Online. However, these are not confirmed.

Lenovo To Unveil ThinkPad x100e / x200e Netbook On January 5th?

We heard about these rumours at the beginning of the week, but apparently, we could see Lenovo launch this ThinkPad x100e  / x200e early next year - January 5, 2010 to be exact. Along with this rumoured news, we're also hearing some possible specs.

This netbook could feature: a 12.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, 3GB of RAM, HDD / SSD options, and optional Gobi 3G. The processor and graphics options appear to be either an AMD Athlon Neo 1.6GHz CPU with ATI Radeon HD3410 graphics or an Intel Centrino 2 1.4GHz ULV CPU with integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics.

Yesterday, Engadget had an interesting photo of a next-gen ThinkPad that supposedly was a netbook of some sort. That same Lenovo ThinkPad has surfaced again today, this time turned on and running Windows XP. It could be a China fake. We're hearing that this could be the ThinkPad x100e / x200e.
