Verizon Releases the LG Octane For $99, $49 Pantech Crux Should Be Available Soon Too
Verizon has made two of their cheap handsets official and one of them is available right now. The handset that is available is above and it's the LG Octane. This is going for $99.99 on a 2-year contract which is quite a bit to pay for a dumbphone. This packs a 3.2MP AF camera, a microSD card slot, a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 support, and Skype Mobile support (but no front-facing camera). Check this one out on Verizon right now.
The other handset that is now official is the Pantech Crux. This handset sports a 3-inch touchscreen display, some social network integration, a rear-facing camera, a microSD card slot, and 1GB card pre-installed. Thankfully, this one will only cost you $49.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
