Labels: , , , ,

In the midst of all of this MWC news there's a couple of new notebooks from MSI that are now available in the US. They're all a part of their C-Series line-up and there's a lot of variety here. The 15.6-inch CR620 notebooks range from $650 to $750 and utilize Core i3 / i5 CPUs and sport 6-cell batteries with Windows 7 Home Premium. The 15.6-inch CR600 notebook comes with pretty amazing features, including: an Intel Core i3-330M 2.13GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, a Blu-ray drive, and Windows 7 Home Premium. You can get all of that for just $699.99 (on Newegg here), which is pretty awesome.

MSI has just officially announced and released five new notebooks. They've announced three 16-inch notebooks, the CX600, CR600-013, and the CR600-017; they've also announced two 17-inch notebooks, the CX700 and the CR700. All of these notebooks pack an Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 2.0GHz CPU, except for the CR600-017 which is being outed with the T4300 2.1GHz CPU.

They all have: 4GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, a DVD burner (the CR600-017 has a Blu-ray drive though), WiFi b/g/n, giagbit Ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3MP webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, a 6-cell battery, and discrete graphics. The CR notebooks have ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 graphics and the CX notebooks have Nvidia GeForce 8300M G graphics, respectively. All of these notebooks have Windows Vista Home Premium and start out at just $549.99 USD. Check them out on MSI's website.

MSI Reveals More Classic Series Notebooks, CX600 / CR600

Labels: , ,

Like the MSI CR400 that was announced a couple of days ago, these two notebooks are also part of MSI's new Classic Series. The only real difference between the two notebooks is that the CX600 uses an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 3D graphics card and the CR600 has Nvidia's 8200M G graphics and an HDMI port. Besides that everything else is the same.

Both of these notebooks have: a 16-inch LED-backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, up to 4GB of RAM, your choice of Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs, 250 / 320 / 500GB HDDs, WiFi, a 1.3MP webcam, optional Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, a DVD optical drive, a VGA output, and a 6-cell battery. These notebooks come pre-equipped with Windows Vista Home Premium and are hitting Taiwan. But the price and release date haven't been mentioned yet - we also don't know if this will hit North America.
