Mitsubishi is really loyal to DLP technology and they're showcasing their latest HDTV using it at CES this year. This time they've brought a gigantic 92-inch model to the event and it's using a "Clear Constrast" display. Sadly, this model was dwarfed by the company's even bigger - and much more expensive - 155-inch OLED TV. Of course, I doubt you'll be able to afford the OLED model; I likely can't even afford the 92-inch DLP HDTV. Prices and release dates are still unknown so we'll have to wait around for that crucial information.

Mitsubishi announced a few more HDTVs because the more, the merrier. These will be a part of their Unisen LCD HDTV line-up and they also come build with StreamTV (Vudu, Flickr, Pandora, Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, etc.). They're all packing edge-lit LED displays, 120Hz anti-blur technology, a 16-speaker sound bar, HDMI ports, a USB port, and integrated WiFi / Bluetooth support. The 265 Series steps is up with an 18-speaker system along with 240Hz technology. The 55-inch LT-55154 model will be retailing for $2,499 and this appears to be the only model. The 164 Series is sized at 40, 46, and 55-inches and they'll retail for $1,699, $2,099, and $2,699, respectively; the 265 Series is sized at 46 and 55-inches and they'll retail for $2,499 and $3,199, respectively.

Mitsubishi has just announced their upcoming DLP 3DTVs, the 638, 738, and the 838. All of these models sport a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and access to optional StreamTV which is Vudu, Pandora, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, etc. They all sport optional integrated 16-speaker 5.1 channel Dolby Digital surround sound, HDMI, and component / composite ports. The 738 Series throws in WiFi 802.11n, while the 838 Series adds Bluetooth into the mix. The 638 Series is a 60-inch model, the 738 Series will be available in 60, 65, 73, and 82-inch models, and the 838 Series will be available in 65, 73, and 82-inch models. The 60-inch 638 Series will cost you $1,199, while the highest-end and most expensive 82-inch 838 Series model will cost you $4,499.

Just when you thought we'd be stuck with Sony's 11-inch XEL-1 OLED TV, Mitsubishi has just stepped into the game. At CEATEC in Japan which is taking place as I speak and while you read, Mitsubishi showed off their Diamond Vision OLED TV that measured 155-inches. Yes, that's no typo there.

According to Mitsubishi, this display is meant for outdoor use and they also mentioned that the technology still has to be improved since their expected lifetime is only 20,000 hours at this point. They also mentioned that OLEDs have an unlimited size. Of course, they didn't mention the price on this. Check out the video below.

Mitsubishi is set to release another projector, dubbed the HC3800. This new model model will have: a Full HD 1080p resolution, 1,300 lumens of brightness, a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 5,000 hours of lamp life, and "full support for anamorphic lenses in case you're really looking to top off your home theater." This projector will fortunately only cost $1,395 USD, so it packs quite a bit of a punch for the price. The Mitsubishi HC3800 will be available in Q3 of this year, which means it should be available later this month.

Mitsubishi is now shipping their latest Diamond Unisen HDTVs with "VUDU 1080p streaming capability built in, plus out of the box ability to handle the service's Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround audio, thanks to the 18 speakers peeking out of the bottom of the frame." I'm sure you're familiar with Mitsubishi's LaserVue HDTVs by now. Starting tomorrow (July 16) "authorized retailers" will be bundling a free Vudu box with every purchase of a Mitsubishi HDTV! It may not be much, since the Vudu box only costs $150 USD, but it's better than nothing. Don't forget that the Vudu box is "the only player" that has 1080p HDX video rentals and it also has support for Pandora, Flickr, Youtube, and local streaming. Would that be enough to suck you in to the Mitsubishi craze? Are you willing to spend $6,500 USD?

Mitsubishi's LaserVue HDTVs are one of the best around, but it comes with one big burden. The price. Fortunately, Mitsubishi has slashed $500 off their 65-inch LaserVue HDTV. Unfortunately, it still costs $6,455 USD to go out and get one. Check out the cheaper LaserVue on Amazon here.

Mitsubishi has just shown off their 3D-ready Home Theatre HDTV and their 16-Speaker Unisen HDTV. They were being showcased over in NYC. You may remember them because I talked about them back in April. Check out the specs here if you like, and keep in mind, they are now shipping!

Fisker Automotive is planning to release their own rival to the Chevrolet Volt and the Tesla Model S. There is currently no word on any juicy information except for it being a hybrid car and that it will be more expensive than the Chevrolet Volt ($40,000 USD) and the Tesla Model S ($50,000 USD), but less than the Karma ($87,900 USD). I'm pretty sure the Tesla Model S will beat it out though. Looks like a too little, too late situation here.

The other rival for the Volt and the Model S is Mitsubishi's iMiEV. Clearly, it doesn't look as good as the Model S - I'm pretty sure ashlee will agree with me there - but it should cost around $40,000 USD rivaling the cost of the Volt . The iMiEV may also be available before both the Volt and the Model S which should give it a significant head-start. The Tesla Model S still reigns supreme in my book.

Mitsubishi is known for their gigantic HDTVs - and their vehicles. They have their LaserVue's and they also have their Electric Diamond Vision in the new Yankee Stadium. What you see above is a part of Mitsubishi's new Home Theater TV lineup. This new lineup includes the 737-series (consists of 60, 65, 73, 82-inch models), 837-series (consists of 65, 73, 82-inch models), and the 82-inch WD-82737 HDTV. The WD-82737 is 3d-ready, has 120Hz technology, has four HDMI sockets, an "exclusive 6-color processor," and has a "JADE Activity-based user interface" - whatever that is. Every TV set that has been mentioned thus far will have a price range in the ballpark of $1,499 to $4,999 USD.

Just in case you're not exactly ready to jump onto the 3D bandwagon then why not pick up an HDTV with 16-speakers built-in? "First up is the new Unisen line, comprised of the 151 Series (40-, 46- and 52-inches), the 153 Series (40-, 46- and 52-inches) and the high-end Diamond 259 Series (46- and 52-inches). All of these TVs will have a 5.1-channel 16-speaker bar, an UltraThin Frame design, 120Hz "Smooth Film Motion" technology, four HDMI sockets, and a USB media port. "The top end crew also includes an iSP calibration microphone, Plush1080p 5G 18-bit digital video processing, a wired IR input and few swank blue accents." LaserVue move aside. The new Yankee Stadium is unveiling itself today to the whole world with the Yankees' annual team workout. This is "the most advanced, high-definition Diamond Vision display in sports." This is not a jumbotron or a scoreboard so do not get it mixed up. The Diamond Vision is simply magnificent. The gorgeous display is 100 feet wide and almost 60 feet tall, delivering 1080p HD video on 5,925 square feet utilizing 8,601,600 LED lamps. I'm definitely going to watch a Yankee game before I die just to stare at this amazing screen. As of right now, there is no word on Mitsubishi planning to build anything more spectacular than this.

In early February, Mitsubishi suspended the production of their LaserVue HDTVs. Today, Mitsubishi has announced that they are mass producing their HDTV's yet again. No one knows why they stopped producing these monstrous TVs in the first place, but I think it had something to do with the economy's downfall. All in all, it's good to see that Mitsubishi has recovered from whatever problems they were having. Time to order your LaserVue HDTV's once again.

iPhone and iPod Touch users can now say goodbye to the Infinite SMS app. Before today, iPhone / iPod Touch users were able to send free texts via a 3rd-party application using Google Talk, but Google has now shut it down because it is "unwilling to foot the bill." This means that they simply don't feel like paying the bill for you. The SMS service is still available in Labs, but "users of the popular Infinite SMS app will undoubtedly be disappointed."

Mitsubishi showed off their 3D touch panel prototype last week. The prototype that was shown consisted of a 5.7-inch touchscreen with a 640 x 480 resolution. "The panel is also capable of judging the speed of the finger's approach by calculating the time variation of capacity on the z-axis and so could trigger different actions based on velocity, not just position." Man, technology really has come a long way. You don't even have to touch the screen to perform an action. Now, this technology is not exactly the newest thing, but it's good to see that Mitsubishi has a working prototype that is aimed at mobile devices. "The screen's response speed is also affected depending on the state, jumping to 50ms in the proximity state ["when the finger is away from the screen"] but sitting at 10ms in the contact state." This is interesting and i'm excited to see what transpires from these 3D touch panel prototypes from Mitsubishi.

According to a new rumour, Apple has reportedly ordered 10-inch touchscreens from Taiwan. Looks like these Apple netbook rumours may be true and i actually can't wait to see Apple's attempts at a netbook / tablet.

Basically, new breakthrough research states that a new Lithium breakthrough could charge batteries in just 10 seconds. If you want to read the whole story click here, it really goes in depth about the research and how it is possible. Who knows how long it will take for the technology to be perfected and to be actually used in our everyday lives, but i guess it's mighty expensive right now. It will be incredible if this ever becomes a reality in our everyday lives in the next couple of months / years.

iPhone users, this is for you. The Mophie Juice Pack Air is the thinnest external battery for the iPhone 3G and it also makes a good case. The new Juice Pack Air will improve from its previous version (Juice Pack) and is now available for pre-ordering in black, purple or white versions. The Juice Pack Air will have a rechargeable 1,200 mAh battery that "virtually doubles the amount of time you have to rock, talk, surf, and send messages." They will be officially released this Spring on both Mophie's website and in Apple stores.

You may know Mitsubishi as the creator of the LaserVue HDTVs; you may also know them as the car makers. Either way, they are suspending the production of their LaserVue HDTVs until early 2009. Technically, early 2009 is right now, but i guess they meant sometime between now and mid-2009. They aren't entirely discontinuing the line, so don't panic, they're just suspending the production for a bit.

Currently, there is no word on these LCD HDTVs coming to America (let alone Canada), but they are available in Korea. The LG LH30FD LCD HDTVs will have 3 sets of picture modes, 3 HDMI sockets and a "four-step power saving mode that can purportedly 'reduce power consumption by to 70 percent.'" If you live in Seoul, you can get one later this month for $1,725 USD for the 47-inch model, $1,186 USD for the 42-inch model, and $862 USD for the 32-inch model.

There is a rumour going around that Asus will raise its prices on their EEE models next month, March 1st to be exact. The "existing and upcoming notebooks and EEE family products" are expected to increase up to 20% in price. Asus USA has stepped up and denied these rumours. Although, Gizmodo points out that the rumour could still be true, since Asus' decisions are mainly made overseas.

If you've pre-ordered your copy of Pokemon Platinum, you may be in luck. Nintendo is said to be rewarding those who have pre-ordered with a "limited edition Giratina Origin Form figure." This figure will be about 2.75 inches tall. As of right now, there is no word on which retailers will be handing out these figurines, so good luck.
