Camangi Webstation II Tablet Making Its Debut At IFA, Specs Revealed

Labels: , , , , , ,

Late last year Camangi (a not-so well known company) released their Android-based Webstation tablet (above). The specs were decent during the times where everyone was trying to rush tablets onto the market ahead of the Apple iPad. The same company will be bringing its successor, the Webstation II, to IFA this year. The next iteration of this tablet will reportedly feature a 1,024 x 600 capacitive multitouch display, a 1GHz Samsung S5PV210 CPU, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (8GB SD card in the box), an HDMI mini output, 3G / WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 5MP front-facing camera, GPS, and Android 2.2. The specs definitely seem pretty good and if that front-facing camera is true it could be great for a video conferencing device. I don't think there's a product out there with a 5MP front-facing camera, unless I'm mistaken. We'll see it at IFA.

Camangi WebStation Demoed On Video, 7-Inch Tablet Running Android

Labels: , , , ,

It looks like the Camangi WebStation has just been spotted in a video and it's looking pretty interesting. It's a 7-inch tablet running Android. Other specs include: WiFi b/g, GPS support, a microSD card slot, a 2MP camera, a 3MP webcam, a USB port, a built-in stand, and the display is a touchscreen that has an 800 x 480 resolution. This tablet is expected to start shipping as early as this December, but don't be surprised if you see delays.
