Here's an interesting one for today. Sony is now offering some of their Vaio notebooks with AMD CPUs in both Best Buy (here) and Fry's (here). This may not seem all that exciting but this is actually the first Sony notebook to come with an AMD CPU in a couple of years. The one on Best Buy is the Vaio EE (pictured above) which sports a 15.5-inch display (1,366 x 768 resolution), an AMD Athlon II X2 CPU, a 320GB HDD, 4GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics, and a Blu-ray drive. This is going for $649.99 which is definitely a sweet deal.

The one you'll find on Fry's is the Vaio EF which sports a 17.3-inch LED-backlit display (1,600 x 900 resolution), an AMD Athlon II X2 P320 CPU, 4GB of RAM (up to 8GB), a 500GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics, and an HDMI / VGA output. This one is going for $719.99 which is a pretty good deal if you're looking for something to use around the house.
