Labels: , , , , , , ,

T-Mobile USA has just tweeted what a few people were waiting for. The Samsung Galaxy S 4G with HSPA+ connectivity will officially be available very soon for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. Of course, at this point we already know that a few retailers will be selling for right around the $149 mark so you'd be better off shopping elsewhere.

BlackBerry Bold Touch (Montana) Pictures Leak, Retaining Bold 9000 Form Factor

Labels: ,

N4BB has just picked up a few photos of the upcoming Bold Touch aka the "Montana". On the left you have the Bold 9700 and on the right is what you should be launching later this year - Q3 if the leaked RIM roadmap was correct. Rumoured specs include a 2.8-inch touchscreen VGA (640 x 480 resolution) display, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / tri-band UMTS connectivity, an optical trackpad, 768MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, NFC, mobile hotspot functionality, a 10.5mm thin body, an accelerometer / magnetometer / proximity sensor, and likely OS 6.1. The back of the device looks pretty interested: ditching the fake leather for some colourless plastic. It's looking pretty good but doesn't really compete with the high-end market. The only selling point for a BlackBerry right now is BBM.

Labels: , , , , ,

Announced a long time ago we have the Lenovo LePad which has been raised from the dead. Word is that the tablet will finally be shipping in March in China and then it'll go global in June of this year. Last time we saw the tablet, it was running Android 2.2 with the "LeOS" skin along with a 1.3GHz Qualcomm CPU and a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution. Specs for launch aren't confirmed yet but we're really hoping that it'll launch with Honeycomb. No skinning needed!

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play Spotted In Verizon's Systems

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Not really much to tell you here that the title doesn't already say. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play gaming Android handheld has just been spotted in Verizon's inventory system and it's the Sony R800X. This is, obviously, a CDMA model but it's not looking like it'll be a Verizon exclusive in the US. Canada will be getting it on Rogers so that means AT&T could be getting it as well. Price and release dates are still TBA.

BlackBerry "Monaco" Storm 3 Leaks On Video, Sporting OS 6.1

Labels: , ,

It looks like a new smartphone from RIM has just leaked in a sub 1 minute video and it's actually looking pretty good. This one's reportedly the "Monaco" which will be the Storm 3 whenever it hits the market. Specs are rumoured to be a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth / WiFi support, NFC, dual-band CDMA / EVDO Rev. A connectivity, a Qualcomm 1.2GHz CPU, an 11.5mm thin body, and BB OS 6.1. Specs seem pretty good for now but I'm afraid that by the time it actually hits the market it'll be behind. Check out the video above!
