Seven LG Smartphones Leak, 6 Running Android and 1 WP7

Labels: , , , , ,

So, PocketNow has just managed to get their hands on a huge leak regarding LG's smartphones for the rest of the year which is impressive. There are 7 smartphones here and they're all running Android except for the lone Windows Phone 7 one. Alright, let's get this started.

First up is the LG Prada K2 (above) which should pack a 4.3-inch NOVA LC display, an 8MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, HSPA+, 16GB of storage, an 8.8mm thin body, and Android 2.3. This one's scheduled for a Holiday release later this year.

Next up is the Univa which could hit the market as the Optimus Two. This mid-end handset features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, an 800MHz CPU, a 5MP camera, an 11.9mm thick body, DLNA, and Android 2.3. This one's expected in Q4.

The only Windows Phone 7 smartphone on the list is the LG Fantasy and not much is known about it. Of course, it'll run the "Mango" version of the OS so it'll hopefully get released with a front-facing camera. It looks a whole lot like the HTC HD7 so it's just a large plain slab that's scheduled for Q4.

The LG Victor will be another Android phone which is fairly high-end. The handset packs a 3.8-inch OLED display, a single-core 1GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a front-facing camera, WiFi b/g/n support, DLNA / WiFi Direct, and Android 2.3.

Three more to go and now we're at the LG Gelato which could hit the market as the Optimus Net. This one should be headed to Sprint in the US and should be on the carrier soon. This one's said to pack a 3.2-inch HVGA display, an 800MHz CPU, a 3MP camera, and the Android OS. This one could have a model with NFC support which is surprising since it's just a mid-end handset.

In an attempt to snag the lower-end of the market, LG will be pushing out the E2. This one's said to feature a QVGA display, a 3MP camera, a slow CPU, and an unknown version of Android. It's definitely an entry-level touch device.

Last, but not least, is the LG K (P930) which sadly doesn't have a picture right now. This one's said to be a mammoth device, with a 4.5-inch display that's expected to have a 720p resolution. That's pretty insane and could raise the superphone bar since the pixel density is said to match the iPhone's Retina Display. The release date for this one is unknown so it may even show up in early Q1 2012. It's definitely an exciting list for LG but can they keep up with Samsung and HTC?
