It's been long-rumoured to be hitting the carrier for a while now and it's actually available right now if you know where to look! The Motorola DROID 3 is now available on Verizon in the US for $199 on a 2-year contract. The handset is a pretty good upgrade over the DROID 2 and features a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 1GHz CPU, an 8MP camera, a 4-inch qHD display, a slide-out 5-row QWERTY keyboard, 16GB of storage, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread". This one will be available at their stores on July 14th but you can order one now on their website.
