Acer has just released the notebook they announced two weeks ago, the Aspire 1551. A bunch of online e-tailers have released the notebook for just under the $550 price tag. This notebook packs an 11.6-inch LED-backlit display, an AMD Turion II Neo 1.5GHz K625 CPU, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB HDD, WiFi 802.11n support, HDMI output, and a 6-cell battery that will supposedly last 5 hours. If you live in the US you can now get this notebook on Amazon, Tiger Direct, Newegg, CompUSA, and B & H.
